Howdy, How many of us have found the perfect weapon in DayZ? The weapon we go in search of? The weapon that, when we find ammo for it, we never let it go - even though we don't have the room for it? I just have. It was called the M4A1 SD, Silenced assault rifle. The only rounds it takes are the STANAG SD rounds - not too common. My friend bumped into one and very selflessly gave it to me. Call out to Poza35, Thankee Sai! I went on to find all the ammo I could have asked for at a Heli-Crash site Ammo box. Sweet! I now have a ghilly suit, silenced AR, silenced sidearm & (though this is very unnecessary) silenced MP5... oh yeah, I'm a ninja baby! Has anyone else been in search of their fabled 'perfect' weapon? Has anyone else found it?

Have you ever hunted another human in the new Zed infested world? I know I have... well, I guess 'hunt' may not be the best word for it... I didnt openly seek to find another player to kill, I came across a player getting killed and decided to - wow, this sounds even worse - stalk the killer until I had the oppertunity to kill the bandit myself. I was walking along the tree line near Novy Sabor weh I heard a flurry of gunfire. Dropping to the floor, I noticed a Zed train galloping towards a shrub on the outskirts. As it turns out, the poor dude ran into a barn and managed to loose the horde, only to have his head blown apart and his brains scattered to the wind. This guy, the dead one, had only an axe - he was no threat. The gunshots I heard must have been the sniper trying to get him. Thats when I saw him going for the corpse. His name was Kriss and I was going to kill him. He walked - very slowly I might add - towards Starry Sabor. He entered the tin coach depot and moved towards the military tents. From the tree line I called my home, I watched him trek with my binoculars, my M14 AIM at the ready, but more or less useless at the range I was at. I followed his trail, hoping he wouldnt be too cautious and look back. I found him in one of the medical tents at the top of the military spot in Starry. I waited to see what he would do after he saw me, he turned - revolver equipped - the time that spanned seemed to be hours but it was only moments. We both opened fire and I came out the victor. I didnt loot his body - but I buried it so he couldnt get his stuff back. R.I.P <insert name here> You have been avenged. Would anyone else have done the same? Or would they have killed the bandit sooner, or even not at all?

Mayahp the ability to use the empty cans as a makeshift silencer for your sidearm? Would make em more useful anyhow.

alright then... machetes? not ninja swords - those eastern Europeans like to slash and hack and disembowel as much as the next guy!

So... When was your first kill? Did you try to put it off? Did it feel good afterwards? Was it even in justified? Or was it murder? The first time I killed a player, it was to save my friend... I think he shot first, but it all happened so fast. I caught a bullet and was near dead, my friend and I got out alive... But I had this awesome rush, this feeling f wanting to kill another player, just for kicks! I felt like I could take on the world! This was all well and good, but it soon faded when I was killed later. I have killed very few people since then and I've always avoided conflict if I could. Sometimes though, you don't have the time to ask 'friendly'?

I dunno... That filthy swamp water is pretty darned tasty...

Maybe not classes/perks.... But maybe an ability to become better at one thing or another. Rewarding the player - like the more you bandage wounds, the quicker you become at it over time, a levelling system mayhap? Become more proficient with weapons the more loyal to a weapon you are, the better you are with it.

If anyone notices DarDreamerDom out there, the universal sign for 'Im friendly' is to sway from side to side using Q & E... You may look a fool, but it has saved my life before, and I won't shoot unless shot upon when folks share me that little friendly dance. Stay safe folks.

Yeah... There is a Private Quagmire - be careful of that dude, he shot me on sight... Not only that, he then hunted me down while I was wounded and seeking refuge, he found me bandaging myself up without any weapon besides my trusty axe and shot me once again. He is giving you a bad name sir!
