  1. Ah, my bad. Haven't been paying attention to the ArmA II updates :)
  2. Well I suppose it all comes down to playstyle. I'd rather have an AS50 for PvP, a M4/M16 for get-outta-dodge situations(PvP/zombies) and a M9 SD for zombies. But yeah, the clip size is neat for the PDW. Oh and the "weapon nerf" wasn't a nerf. It was a fix. Unlimited ammo is something that's not intended from the get-go, so it can't be a nerf when you change that :) And there are still at least 2 ways to get unlimited ammo(for 99% of all weapons, without duping)... I've been meaning to bug report the largest bug, but the only way I've found is through the bug-forum and I don't want to post it publicly so everyone knows about it... *goes to look for bug reporting again*
  3. Yeah I read something about that, I didn't pay attention to my blood though. Weird to be singled out by a hacker though, cause I was the only death at the time, but oh well. I recuperated quite well :D
  4. I know but I'm special enough(like Ralph Wiggum) to deserve my own thread :P (Yeah I should've posted in the stickie, my bad)
  5. So, after my first few deaths and learning the game I decided to head north and look for heli crash sites to gear up a bit before heading southward again. I spent about a week up north(a couple of hours playtime each day) and not finding much of value. My first heli had an FN Fal(left it) and a M14 AIM(took it), the next few helis had nothing at all, then yesterday I come across a crashed heli and once I've secured the site I approach and immediately see a package on the ground... either camo or a ghillie. It turns out to be camo(which isnt all bad) and I keep circling the heli and see an AS50 and some AS50 rounds. Paydirt! A week of trudging through the forests finally pay off and I couldn't be happier. So after moving to safety and checking out my lovely new gear I decided to head towards Berezino to see if I can score some M107 rounds for the AS50. No such luck and I decide to move up north again, but as I do so I come across a great sniper spot so I set myself up and log off. Time for dinner. I log back on on a high pop server and it doesn't take more than 2 minutes until I see a bandit moving across the open field. He stops for 10 seconds but my zeroing was messed up so I elected not to take the shot, he starts moving again and is obscured for a second and when I see him again he's looking right at me and I'm so startled I just fire at him. I quickly start moving(rolling) in case I missed and when I stop for a second he's nowhere to be seen and my kill count didn't increase. I figure he's alt+f4'd and the whole experience was so nervewracking I log off for a bit. A while later I log on another high pop server and am still at the same spot, and the first thing I do is accidentally standing up. I quickly get prone and check my surroundings. I seem to be alone so I stay in my spot. A few minutes passes and suddenly I think I hear one footstep. Once again I check my surroundings but see nothing and stay put. About a minute later I hear one silenced shot, I break a bone and die... I curse my own stupidity and log off. Why the flip didn't I move away, now I had to regear myself again. I don't disconnect though, 'cause my killer has earned my hard-earned loot. I respawn close to Elektro and I ignore my better judgement(don't go there on a high pop server) and start zerging through town. I quickly come across a hatchet, but apart from that I find zilch. Every building looks like it's been picked clean. I enter the church, nothing, so I move towards the southern fire station and as I get close I hear flies, ah a body nearby, and about 2 seconds later I see a survivor running through the gates with a revolver in hand and several zombies on his trail. Scared like a little bunny I run into the fire station and wait for the survivor to come back and put a bullet in my head... but no. I hear shots from the revolver further away so I check out the dead body in the fire station and look for other loot, but find zilch again. As I leave the fire station I run past the hospital and hear more flies and since stupidity apparantly is my motto I decide to climb to the roof of the hospital to see if there's anything worthwhile there... I reach the roof and as I turn around I see a dead bandit with an AS50, I quickly hit the ground and start praying that the loot is still there. I open the gear menu with a pulse of 200 and millions of questions running through my head, what will he have, when will I be sniped, when will the bandit be back... The AS50 is still there, he has a coyote backpack, NVG's, GPS, rangefinder, PDW(why...?),,, he has it all. I pick it all up, still waiting for that bullet to my head by the sniper that killed this bandit. Having learned from my mistake earlier I log off as soon as I'm done looting... Curiosity killed the cat, but would it kill me? A few hours later I choose a low pop server and log back on, I switch on the NVGs and quickly run towards the forests north of Elektro. I find a safeish spot and checks the backpack, what goodies does it have for me? A ghillie, an MK 48, satchel charges... I end up better kitted out than I was when I died with my AS50 and I log off with a smile... What will DayZ have in store for me today?
