Maybe BE has started banning by IP address now ? Or maybe when it was scanning your HD or RAM it detected something that it considers a bannable offence, or maybe it scanned your Registry for known hack programs previously/currently installed ?

These must be STEAM copies then (isn't FADE removed for Steam ?) because FADE has never been cracked. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a bullshitter.

At the login screen, did you have a view of the ocean as a background instead of the usual Chernarus ? That is what i'm getting, and after reading your message and others similar, I refuse to click on OK to see what happens.

This is the screen where you select which slot number you take up. Normally you see good old Chernarus in the background, but since updating to Beta 96751 (the latest A2 beta at the time of writing), all I get as the background is lots of lovely ocean, and the Greetings text is now in sky-blue instead of red or white. I'm too wary of continuing to login, after reading reports that some players are being dumped in the ocean upon logging in (though that was in 1.7.2.6) I have tried with 4 different servers, all running 96751 and 1.7.2.5 (no, i'm holding off on 1.7.2.6 as long as possible), so there should be no version conflict. Is there a confliction between my version of Beta and 1.7.2.5 ? Or am I just reading too much into seeing the ocean as a background ?

How on Earth do you use the BOLD, Italics, SIZE features of the editor ? I have to type the HTML codes in manually. If I click the 'Toggle Editing Mode' button then it activates the (bold etc) buttons BUT clears out all my text. The only way I can input text is to have all the WYSIWYG features greyed out.

My keyboards, and OS are all in English, no Chinese input method at all. It's weird. I have Adblock + OFF and NoScript allowing all scripts - except Facebook.net (this is China, so it would wait for the blocked script forever). I can click on the buttons if I toggle edit mode, but as I say, it either clears any text that's there, and won't allow me to type in the window anyway.

Are you saying that each server's world has a finite set of food resources that can be exhausted by players as they are consumed ? Maybe it could be a server option, like crosshairs and 3DP that is ON or OFF. I wouldn't fancy having pvp forced upon me, but it would be a good server option for those that like playing that way.

I like your idea, it adds re-playability to the game, which at present is limited.

If you only drive vehicles then you will miss out on the sweeping, beautiful world that BIS created - just like you missed out on it in Arma 2 (if you have it) because you drove everywhere. The views in the mornings after sunrise can be breathtaking, you crest a hill in the forest and you just have to stop what you are doing and admire it. Re the hoarding. Maybe we should start a thread sharing the Server name and GPS coordinates of vehicles (and tents) ? Or, now that vehicles have been 'fixed' in 1.7.2.6 then just take some Grenades along and blow the vehicles the fuck up. Alternatively, you can just do nothing because the hoarders use the vehicles as massive storage devices for all their hacked in weapons. So just take whatever you need, whenever you need it.

It would be nice to have an SP mode to play on your laptop on the train, plane or whatever. Obviously it wouldn't be able to use your hive player, but still, it would be nice to be able just play SP if you want to.

Anyone else had this problem ? Is it Ghillie Suit related ? Did you guys have Ghillies ? This patch has so many more cons than pros - basically it is a patch that legitimises weapons hoarding by fixing tents and vehicles. Nothing else on this patch is worth losing the infinite bullets exploit for.

Play with Six is a piece of crap that uses the INTERNET Explorer API for all it's functionality - exposing you to all sorts of security vulnerabilities.

Why would anyone say "could it be CD key theft" when everyone knows the ONLY way to get your CD Key stolen is to download that certain software mentioned by the Battleye in-game message ? So, it is reasonable to suspect that the OP has at some point downloaded this cheating software and is crying delicious, salty cheater tears.

Script restrictions are caused when Battleye updates (as it did in the last few days) and the server admin NOT updating the SCRIPTS.TXT to the correct version (this is what Bastian at Battleye said to me via email). Did BE say WHY you received a global ban at the time you were originally kicked ? If you think the ban is wrong then you should appeal to BATTLEYE directly through their appeals procedure. This forum has nothing to do with global bans, and all you'll get on here is contempt, under the assumption that you are a cheater.

Hackers have probably found a way to hide their presence from the ingame player list.

If your stuff is 'disappearing' from your tent, chances are it is NOT a tent bug, it's just one of the cuckoos who come along to your hoarded nest of goodies and 'liberate' items at will. There's nowhere to hide a tent where it can't be found due to Arma 2 engine's removal of extraneous graphical complexity at distance - ie your precious tree branches aren't rendered at distance - but your tent it, and it sticks out like a MBa at a Nascar event.
