I googled your problem and people were saying that it was either your graphics card wasn't up to date, or you were playing on too high of settings. I'm not sure if that problem would carry over to SA.

I've heard that it's a bug. I've read that the only way to fix it is to rejoin the server you were playing on when you collected all your gear. -
Assuming KOS would drop in SA was a bad assumption. With geared being somewhat hard to find, it just gives people more reasons to kill. on top of that, everyone is so use to the KoS mentality from the mod that most players brought that mentality over to SA.

So these hacks that are/were happening, were/are they even common? I have yet to have any problems with hackers. Although there was one guy that I saw get shot countless times who just kept running but it appeared to be desync more than anything.

Yeah, being able to break off locks would be important. You could use an axe to break the lock off or maybe you could use an axe just to break into the box.

What problems did you have with Arma 2? FPS problems or something else?

I don't think it's an infection. My 2 day old character that I had before the database wipe was having the moaning issue and he never showed any signs of being infected. However I could be wrong. Maybe he was infected and just managed to survive somehow.

There is health, and there is blood in SA. Your character sounds like he lost some health. As long as you keep your blood up, and your hunger and thirst full, your character should regain health and the moaning sounds will stop.

This was suggested many times before SA came out. I think Rocket has discussed stuff like this but I don't think he is going to do it. DayZ shouldn't be a mmo style skill tree thing. People should have to use real world skills and knowledge to be able to survive.

I agree different types of tents would be nice. Even things besides tents to store gear in would be nice. Being able to craft bags to store stuff in or find boxes that you can put stuff in as well would be cool. If they did add boxes to store stuff in, it would be neat if we could put locks on it. However if someone has keys they could unlock the box.

You evil person. Jk I have had many fights so far. Yesterday alone I got in 4 or 5. All except one, consisted of me dying. I sear it's harder to be a hero/niceguy in SA than it was in the mod. I was forced to beat some dude to death with a baseball bat because he wouldn't go away from me despite me telling him several times to leave. -
I find that when ever people play as female characters and only type, they get treated more nicely. I think sexism is a bigger problem here. Seriously though I don't think it really matters if you are white, black, male, or female. If the person you run into wants to kill you, they are going to kill you.

PSA: From next DayZ update, if you disconnect while handcuffed, you will forfeit your character (they will die). #DayZ

Hmm. So what happens if you are playing on a server, you are handcuffed, and the server crashes? Do you still die? -
I found that I personally never wake up but I did see another player wake up from being unconscious so I'm not sure. Maybe it just comes down to luck, whether or not you wake up?

You need to put the map into your hotbar and then press the button in relation to which hotbar you put it in. For instance if you put it in hotbar 5, you press "5" and the map will come up.

I love that this was removed. It makes navigation skills that much more important.

Try playing on a server relative to your time zone. For instance if you live on the east coast of America or Canada, join a US server based in the east coast.
