I think it's a perfect idea. Just finding a body in the middle of nowhere, looting it, then reading about what they went through, what they felt, what they thought. It might make player killing for fun drop dramatically. I don't think I could pull my self together to read a journal of someone I killed because I freaked out. It's these type ideas that add humanity to the game and I WANT to see this added to the game. I know it's not too hard to pull off.

I'm not sure how many people are going to like this idea but I thought it might be interesting. So the paris catacombs is an underground tunnel system built around the 17th century I believe. It was used to store mass amounts of human bodies and bones. It was used during WWII by the Germans and Persian soldiers. The tunnels them selves go on for around 400 miles and majority of it is unmapped and unexplored. There is expected to be six layers to the tunnels but no one is sure. The tunnels are extremely dark and dangerous. Many people get lost down there and few end up making it out. Not the Paris Catacombs exactly but underground tunnel systems like this that stretch through out the whole map. They could have zombies in them and be extremely hard to navigate just like the real ones. People could set up bases in there and expand on the tunnel system itself. I know he wants to add the ability to make underground bases so maybe this could be the start to it?

That's true but as I've stated, if we could make bases and camps in there, it might be a good idea. You could store away items and it would be A LOT harder for people to find it.

I actually have been lucky to only encounter 2 hackers. One was nice to me when I was a noob and helped me out big time, and the other killed me.

This would be a good idea. You risk loosing a lot of ammo and just 100 zombies is a lot to face.

That's the fun of it. There could be extremely rare loot down there that you could only find down there but it would also make for great camp bases.

There is a limited amount of vehicle spawns. http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/Vehicles I believe that if a vehicle is destroyed, it re-spawns upon server restart. I could be wrong though.

Until DayZ goes standalone we're going to be dealing with new hackers and different types of hacks.

I've only come across three friendly people in DayZ. One I came across on top of a school house in Elecktro. He had a makarov and I had an axe. We helped each other kill all the zombies in the school house and then went our separate ways. The other two friendlies I came across I ended up teaming up with and going through quite some intense moments with. Here is the video of me and my friend with them. I hope you can get this resolved, man. I've seen your posts about it several times and it seems everyone has helped you to the best they can.

You lucky people. That guy must of felt REALLY bad about what he did. I've never heard of something like this before.

That guy shooting at you has some sucky aim. He blew any chance of taking you out effectively and his shots were missing you by a mile. That shot that killed you was one lucky shot but the zombies did more damage than he did.

Try messing with your volume mixer. It might be possible that your computer turned down the sound on DayZ.

A blood clot actually saved my life ingame once. I was out of bandages running through the fields and I stopped bleeding. Despite my many hospital raids I have never found antibiotics. Making me extremely scared of getting infected.

Is it really that big of a deal?

I may have to quit for a certain amount of time due to being too addicted to it also.

So then, my friend and I spent most of our time on DayZ yesterday setting up tents and raiding other tents. We got our tents set up pretty far north. Well you reap what you sow. We had raided a lot of tents and had collected an armory of 15 weapons including, AS50, Bizon, Two G17s, MK 48, M4A1, and several other guns. I logged on today to find all our weapons except the MK 48 and a Colt had been stolen. They were kind enough to leave some ammunition and medical gear but that was it. I don't know if they saved the tents after raiding them so I'll have to wait for the server restart to find out. My question is, what is the best tent raid you have ever done and what is the worst tent raid done to your tent(s)?

Possible gamma and brightness are too high?

Once I get to the point where there's not much to do, I just start collecting as many weapons as I can. I had an armory of around 12-13 but my tents got raided so it's off to collect more weapons. I unfortunately lost an AS50 with thermal but I find it fun collecting as much gear as I can.
