I finally got around to watching the series about two weeks ago. I love it so much!

I just don't get it. People complain about Rocket not posting then he does and people still complain. I want Stand Alone to come out as much as the next guy but I don't want it to be rushed and full of glitches and bugs. Rocket and his team can take as long as they like imo. The mod itself and the community keeps me coming back everyday. DayZ was the game I dreamed about for a long time. It's amazing how Rocket's simple idea blew up like this. Much like how Minecraft started as something simple and is now one of the most popular games out there. A lot of people need to understand that Rocket probably never imagined his mod would be turned into a game in less than a years time and that he's is doing his best to make sure Stand Alone is good.

Well the Stand Alone release date is unconfirmed. It could come out next week or in the next couple months. It just depends. If you want to play more than just DayZ, maybe Arma itself or another mod, then I suggest you buy it. If you only want to play DayZ then I can't say yes or no. It depends if you want to spend the money. Just remember buying Arma doesn't get you a discount for DayZ SA.

Well I don't feel that bad about it. Since I don't like killing people for their loot or just to kill them, raiding people's tents is how I get good gear. I mean I'm letting them live and I generally leave something in their tent like food and or drinks.

This^ Having something like this would be very helpful. You could have someone carry spare weapons for a squad or just use the bag to store weapons when you go on a weapon search.

You really haven't seen anything about it? It was such a major screw up that the entire DayZ team is keeping it on lock down. Apparently anonymous hacked into the DayZ stuff and screwed everything over. The government is looking into it right now. It is a major threat to national security. Don't tell anyone I told you though. I'm not sure how long we've got my, friend.

Like others have said you should join a Private Hive. You'll almost never have to worry about hackers on them especially if it's a whitelisted server.

I see these type threads frequently and my idea has changed over time. Since SA is unconfirmed we could be told tomorrow that it's coming out next week or it's coming out in two months. Because of this I feel like it's mostly up to you OP. If you want to play more than just DayZ, like Arma itself or another mod for Arma, then I suggest you buy it. If however you only want it for DayZ, then I can't say whether or not you should get it.
