I did enjoy reading The War of the Worlds while waiting for friends and such. Books are a nice thing to pass time in DayZ. No need to get hateful.

Arma 2 is a very fun game. I wouldn't say it's a waist of money. There are a lot of fun mods and game modes available for it.

Can I join this book club? I do enjoy talking about great literature while starving to death and being chased by zombies.

I found it to be a neat little thing. I've grabbed a few books to read but haven't gotten around to actually reading any yet. For everyone saying that you can't read them, you need to put them in your hotbar and click on the number related to the hotbar number you put it in. Then the entire book will be able to be read.

Actually it can take a lot longer to get out of hand cuffs depending on what quality the handcuffs are. One guy had to walk around for half an hour I believe before he got out.

How do you know these people are server hoppers? Maybe they are new to the game and want to play on low pop servers so they can get a hang of the game. -
I think that you and the OP both did a heroic thing. Sadly we live in a world where most people only care about themselves. Going out of the way to help others is something we should all do but few actually do. And btw, thank you for your service.

Correct, you can not use the bayonet as of yet. From what I've heard they have the animation set up but they need to get a key configured for it.

You could have one character on public hives and another on a private hive.

Agreed. Once I went PC, I didn't got back to console. Now my Xbox is just a over priced DVD player.

Arma 2 and DayZ SA are separate games. You have to buy SA.

Best place to find ammo is at balota as soon as the server restarts or at a military base up north.

You also need to make sure your wounds are clean and healed. You can do this by applying rubbing alcohol to them. Besides that, great tutorial. Short and to the point. -

Military spawns such as barracks and atc towers. I found four last night. Try searching a military location like Balota as soon as the server restarts. You're most likely going to find a vest.

Something tells me you need to calm down. No need to get in a fight over guns.

There are a few things you need to take into consideration. Gear takes part of the damage now. Different items take different amount of damage. For example, a pile of wood in your backpack will take more damage than a bag of rice. Those items, when they take damage, can stop your character from getting injured. Also, different clothing can take different amount of damage. The ballistic helmet for example can stop a bullet if the bullet hits the helmet. A bullet proof vest will stop the bullet. So when you have someone wearing really protective gear and having strong items to take damage, some people can manage to survive getting hit by more rounds than normal.
