I'm not sure what it is exactly. I have this laptop --> http://www.dell.com/us/p/studio-xps-1647/pd and everyone complains about this thing overheating. If overheating is the issue, then it took a while for it to affect my laptop because I've been using it since last July and am just now having this issue. -

OK so this seems to be happening for all my games on Steam. The only game it wasn't happening on was Minecraft. -

I'm thinking it could be a heating issue too. My laptop reaches 150 F easily. Updating my drivers actually allowed me to even log in normally and use my computer. So I don't think that is causing it. I'll look into it. I already did a system restore. I did a full scan and there were no viruses. I'll try defraging. -
Probably would help for you to post your specs for the computer wizards on here to help you more effectively. The biggest problem with DayZ and Arma is that they are poorly optimized. It takes a very good computer to run this game with good settings and high fps. I don't know all the details to it, but there is so much stuff having to be processed and such in Arma that it takes a big toll on your computer.

I played on that server once. It was absolutely terrible. I spawned at Balota and saw like 5 other fresh spawns. I went all yolo and decided to try and kill all of them. I have never seen such horrid aim. These guys couldn't even hit me when I was standing still. I actually managed to take all five of them out. While this was all happening, there were a few choppers dueling it out above me. One got shot down and I ran over and got into a new one the was just left at the airfield. I started flying to Cherno and there were choppers everywhere, very much like what, you, OP, described. I decided to just ram myself into another chopper and then log off.

Books are already in SA. Full books to like Moby Dick and such. I would love for card games and such to be in SA too. I was actually thinking about suggesting that idea earlier but never got around to it.

That's a sucky way to loose a chinook. I lost mine last night when my pilot's internet had a lag spike and he got kicked for too high ping.

It does suck to die and loose all your stuff but that's just DayZ for you.

You can just install the DayZ mod on steam. When you go to play it, choose to run beta patch and you're good to go. Nothing else required.

I like the ideas. The suicide one is really creepy to me. There's something about hanging bodies that just creeps me the hell out. I think that the weeds idea would be good for a little while but it would quickly over run pretty much everything.

OK first off you are going to need to delete what ever stole your CD key. Make sure it is completely gone because otherwise you risk your new key being stolen. 1. Delete all arma 2 files and DayZ files 2. You need to make a new steam account a purchase a new copy of Arma 2 Combined Operations 3. Run steam as administrator by right clicking on your steam icon and choosing to run as administrator. Make sure you log onto your new steam account. 4. Re install Arma 2 and then run it. This will change your Regedit and you will now be able to play Arma 2 again. 5. Re install DayZ and you're good to go. -
The rat made the devblog 5 times better. I think I'll need to go into a coma until SA comes out. I'm just to excited for it.

I'm fine with how it is now. I don't want a different skin but what would be cool is if your character got more dirty and such the longer you survived.

I understand. However sometimes it takes a while to get medical treatment in the mod and I figure it'll be the same in SA. So maybe instead of dying to your wounds in a few minutes, maybe it could be a few hours. That way you could have time for someone to patch you up.

Know what you mean lol. I look at guys like Steak, Rage, Daryll, etc. and they joined a few months after me and have like 2-5 times as many post as me. -
You don't have to spawn at Berezino if you don't want to. Plus NEA doesn't really have anything that special to offer so I don't see a problem with it.
