Plus Epoch adds tons of military vehicles such as humvees with M2s, grenade launchers, etc. Also choppers like Blachawks and such. I think that since most people pvp now in DayZ so much, these vehicles make for more fun and exciting PVP. Along with everything you stated, I imagine why that is why Epoch has become so popular.

I'm hoping it'll be out by Christmas. Not going to get my panties in a twist though if it's not.

There are no hackers in DayZ. It's just a myth that Rocket started to scare little bambis.

I've wanted something like this in DayZ ever since I started playing. Imagine if some guy picked you up, then you took out your pistol and told him to give you the car or you'd shoot him. Also, maybe some random guy jumped into your car and won't get out. You can take out a pistol and threaten to shoot him if he doesn't get out. Or you could just shoot him anyways.

That was epic! A few friends and I actually managed to get into there base about a week ago. We killed two of them because they left the door open to enter their base. They had so many cars and weapons in that brown barn. We happened to have a M107 on us and we blew up almost all their cars and ruined the few cars we didn't blow up. We got a ton of gear but were't able to blow up the base. Looks like my groups effort, and yours will give a devastating blow to that clan.

Yikes, that is waaaaay to hot. I'm pretty sure that the heat is causing that fps drop. I'm not a computer expert so I can't say for sure that the temp is causing the fps issue but because of how hot your laptop is getting, I think I can safely assume that's problem. You really have to find a way to cool your laptop because otherwise that heat will probably break it like mine did.

You could download Razer game booster. http://www.razerzone.com/gamebooster It tells you what your computer's temperature is. Since you are using a Laptop, I wouldn't be surprised if it is a overheating issue. I couldn't even play DayZ without having a fan blowing on my laptop at all times. Even with that fan, my graphics card ended up breaking because of the heat. It doesn't really matter that your laptop is only two months old. Laptops aren't designed to really run a game like Arma.

Does the fps drop last for just a few seconds or does it stay that low? Before my laptop broke it would drop down to a few fps every 10 seconds, for about 2 seconds, then jump back up to my regular fps. Turns out my laptop was overheating and that was causing the fps to drop.

I found a video of you teaching how to hack on MW2. You were hacking back on MW2 so I wouldn't be surprised if you hacked on DayZ. You wouldn't just join a server and get banned for no reason.

I think that making people wait a certain amount of time before being able to move over to the next cell is a good idea. I was talking to a few friends about the idea last night and one of them did bring up the fact that people could use these cells to escape combat. One problem/dilemma would be aircraft. Are they just going to float in the air or something? If two choppers are in a fight and one tries to escape into another cell, is there the possibility that the chopper chasing it could ram it or something? Same for vehicles too.

It could just be that you can hop to another map no matter where you are at the border. If you only have one specific place people can go to change maps, then too many people will camp it. However if you have it set up that someone can change maps no matter where at the border they are, then it's less likely you'll have people camping the border.

This idea of multiple maps combined into one big map has always been a dream of mine for DayZ. I've always loved games with huge maps. Imagine if DayZ's map eventually became the size of Europe. As the OP suggested, you could have different servers host different maps and as you reach the border of one map and get into the other map, it gives you the list of servers hosting that map and you can choose which one you want to join. Maybe some day you could even choose to spawn at a different map? Instead of Chernarus, you could spawn at a map based somewhere in Italy for example. Also, you could find items, clothing, and cars relating to the map you're in. So in Chernarus, you would find Russian weapons, items, clothing, and vehicles. In a map based in France though for example, you would find French weapons, items, etc. This would probably help with trading a lot to since instead of having to travel great distances to get an item from another country, you could trade with some guy who already went there and got what you want. It would help with crafting too for the same reasons. An item needed from far away could be obtained by trading with someone who already got it. Obviously an idea like that would take years to accomplish but it would be one of the coolest things in DayZ, imo.

I honestly don't get why people still continue to complain about KOS. If you honestly are mad enough about it to the point that you come on the forums to complain, then either 1. Stop playing DayZ, 2. Start KOS'ing yourself(I know this doesn't help stop KOS'ing but maybe you'll stop complaining about KOS if you just mow everyone down yourself 3. Nut up or Shut up. If you're going to take the route of being a hero/survivor and try to help others, or avoid shooting innocent players, then you need to accept that at this point in DayZ, there are very few people you can trust, and that you're going to die a lot. You're going to need to be cautious and think through what you're going to do ahead of time.

Could you imagine if in SA, they did only have one or two, and out of the thousands and possibly millions of people playing, you owned one of them. I'd have a DayZgasm.

I like the DMR just slightly more. Honestly the only difference between it and the M14 is the color and the scope. With the DMR I'm able to engage players at long distance if I need to and it's pretty accurate with firing from the hip if I get in CQB.

Correct. Rocket needs to add the ability for us to take craps first.

You can not get the original hero skin in Epoch. You can only get the marksman one.
