Hey all, I've updated everything and have searched and I'm getting no results for Australian servers that are connected to the official hive - What happened to all the AU servers?? Ive only got the Cher map, I'm thinking maybe they are hosting other maps like Zangar or Takistan. Anyone got any idea's about this? Thanks

Post here if Game is unplayable for you due to Low FPS
Construct replied to Irenicus (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
I was having an FPS issue today after not having played it for a week. I had changed my settings in my GFX catalyst control centre to override application settings due to issues i was having with skyrim however i defaulted this and it kept happening. I reinstalled dayzcommander and deleted @dayzmod folder from steamapps>ARMA II Operation Arrowhead and then redownloaded it via dayzcommander. It happened again however once I changed it to run through steam and replace exe its been fine, to confirm, I went back to how it was with the steam settings and it went back to bad FPS, so now im playing with it via steam. -
Firstly, DayZ is a mod of ARMA II and ARMA Operation Arrowhead - You need a CD Key for both games (unless using ARMA Lite) in order to play DayZ. If you got your CD Key from a website, then thats unfortunate and no one here can help you with that. You need to purchase the game from a retail outlet or via Steam.

CD Key disabled, is this notification via Steam or Via DayZ mod? CD Key disabled could mean a ban from the hive or from steam. Need clarification.

I just went to login again and now I'm having that issue again, I'm going to put it back to dayzcommander forcing the game to load via steam, as thats what I just removed since it worked previously. Will update shortly. Update: So turns out that after I selected both steam options in dayzcommander settings, It works fine. Maybe try that to see if it makes a difference for you?

Thats the issue I was having today after not playing for a week. The reinstall of the mod worked for me. I completely removed Dayzcommander and the mod, then reinstalled both. I also played ARMA II AO a few times just to confirm it was the mod not my PC. Im still having the mouse click issues. EDIT: Turns out the mouse buttons are working good now, had to check buy starting a new character and picking up new weapons.

I re-installed the Dayzcommander and deleted the @dayzmod folder from steamapps>ARMA Operation Arrowhead. Then re-installed the mod via DayzCommander - this fixed my FPS issue.

Game not recognizing left click to fire
Construct replied to BTT`'s topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Wondering if anyone is still having this issue? It started for me today after I started downloading and installing BAF - Its not finished as of yet although does try to launch it when I start ARMA Via DayZ. The mouse buttons work as normal during the standard version of ARMA II but left and right click doesn't fire or aim like it should in DayZ mod. Have reinstalled DayZ Mod via dayzcommander (reinstalled dayzcommander also) [ This fixed an FPS issue I was having today also ] Im still getting this button issue however. Controls in the game menu are on defaults. -
Fixes that I'm aware of with wrong cd key is if you try and run then mod without first running ARMA II vanilla and then running ARMA II Operation Arrowhead. especially if you've done all of this via steam, the CD Key is within steam and both games have to be run to verify the CD key within steam and the game before it will work with the mod. I had this issue in the past while playing with ShackTactical on ARMA II as they use ACE2 which was similar.

I've also had some in-game issues with the dayz mod itself. In normal ARMA II, my FPS is great, however when I connect to different servers with dayz mod running its quite bad. Also my left and right mouse buttons don't work to fire and aim in the mod but it does in standard ARMA II. Connection to the server is good within 100ms. Unsure, but I'm going to re-install dayz commander and the dayz mod just in case. I'm in Australia not the UK. This wasn't happening a week ago.

Like highspiral mentioned. This game is actually ARMA II - Something which a lot of new people to this game fail to realize. When rocket and his team made a mod for ARMA, that's exactly all it was, a mod. Just like ACE2 is a mod for ARMA. Unlike ACE2 this is still in Alpha, if they released BF3 or COD in its alpha it would be terrible in comparison. If you want to play a game that's just install/insert DVD - Go back to xbox.
