Me and my friend experienced this too. We used to play on EU 4 but it's closing soon so we packed up tents and moved to DE 25. After playing about with the tent placement we both disconnected but I've just recently reconnected and there's loads of bloody tents about.

It is really pathetic that people are so scared of losing their gear or just plain suck at this game that they need to connect to a different server to reposition their character. If they're playing this game to "win" then they failed right there.

DayZ gets its weapons from Arma 2 so yes you can use all weapons available in DayZ.

Well it's not so much a fact but a tip. The visibility of map markers to other players is dependant upon which channel you're in when you place the marker. For example if you're in direct communication, only people in your immediate area will see the marker.

The map is big enough to hide stuff already. People just want areas that no one will realistically transverse (e.g. some random bearing 15-20km off the map). It's fucking gay. -

Usually because I feel threatened. If they haven't seen me I just run away. I will sometimes kill because I desperately need supplies but haven't done that in a while.

Some people are far too timid/conspiring little shits but I think most people are pretty fair. It's all about how much of a threat you pose. Say you and I turn a corner and meet face to face, if you have a gun I'll probably shoot you. If I turn the corner and your back is turned I'll just leg it or maybe engage in conversation/robbery over direct voice chat. You never know about the times a survivor had the drop on you but let you live.

I remember rocket saying that he had to make some changes to the actual game files to remove the HUD to make the DayZ trailer. I don't think this option is available to us.
