    A way to stop camping, & loot runs

    As far as i'm aware the best ie: Silenced wepons can only be found at miltary bases. Which are camped, farmed, and exploited to insane degree by some players. It's not that they're dangeroues that bothers me (although that is a good reason not to go), it's just that they seem to be faremd ie: collect loot, disconect, wait 20 mins reconect collect loot etc.. I know i've done it myself, (before realising how stupid a thing it is to do as far as enjoyment). I don't want to dictate how someone chooses to play the game, this surgestion just allows for greater play style freedoms. I will also say again I LIKE PVP. IT MAKES THE GAME

  3. without re-percussions/ rewards for teaming up this once great game mechanic is gone. In reality, (which is slightly true in game), lonliness would be a big factor in not killing someone, we are social creature after all. Although i wont shoot someone who hasnt seen me, anyone who does i'll now kill, it's very gamey and a pity. Someone on another post mentioned how you could 'learn' skills passivly jsut by being in the company of someone. This sounds like an incredably good idea.

    it's not reducing it in the slightest, it's jsut making it less 'gamey' those places would still be the best bet for good loot, just not the only way to obtain it. I'm a big beliver in the PVP mechanic, but i'm also a beliver in a more realistic 'enviroment'; this would cut down on the camping and new player griefing. yet still retain the high risk high rewards that those zones offer, those that want a death match arena can still find it there. Althouhg it does baffle my people use this game for that.

    it's doesn't. Nore does booze for that matter, you retian far more liquid then you loose through unrination. So no ;)
  6. Really good idea about the skills, especially how they can be taught passivly by other players, would go a long way to giving players incentives to team up rather then kill. Sure he has a nice M9 but i can find one of those myself, finding information on cooking is much harder, and i want to eat well to restore blood. resulting in "Guy by red shed, wanna team up for a bit, i'm good with mechanics"
  7. Main problems arise from the lack of being able to comunicate easily, unless you do it via outside sources. The game would also benifit greatly i feel if it was easier to meet up with friends. Or having alt characters that you could use when playing with mates and one for when alone so you can keep comming back to the same spawn location with a party. This would increase team play, and a good team will take down the death matchers, not that there is curently any incentive to do so. Assuming this Mod as Rocket mentioned is intended to be a product rather then jsut a social experiment, a lot of these issues will have to be addressed.

  9. For all intents and purposes you have 'won' the game, congrats. Write same names on a loo roll and run them past your monitor if that helps you feel complete.

    yeah it is still very buggy, but follow the above advice and persist and you'll find it well worth it. The controlls are a nightmare, but when you get your head around them they do make sence, and you will understand why they need to be the way they are.

    IF this was an actual game...

    A free 2 play with micro transactions is ideal but there's no way to really impliment it without it becoming unbalanced. A one time purchase if it will still be surported well after would be best. Personally i'd never pay for a subscribtion no matte rwhat the game is.
  12. yup i've noticing it getting even worse of late even on good ping servers. It makes zombies very frustrating as they catch and whale on you even thouhg you've emptied an entire clip inot them, even their heads.
  13. After a few attempts i had a character thats survied about 10 hours of play time, found most of the 'stuff', and learnt the 'land' well. Definetly a highlight of playing a computer game, it was cut short buy a bandit, the exsistance of which (amongst other elements), is why i enjoyed it so. But on my new respan i'm cynical, i know new players will have pain killers so wait and farm them early as they are a pain to get latter. I know where the good stuff is spawned and also where there will be someone camping. In short i came back too it afresh and i'm now find i'm playing a 'game'. makes me feel kinda sad, but thanks to devs for giving me a brilliant experiance, but now i find i'm 'gamming' its back to TF2 i guess. well for a while ;)
  14. I trade with people quite a lot, but he rules are guns down and the items to be droped at a distance, then we croaa paths to get our respective stuff. At which point i quickly run away unless they seem fun.
  15. they're dead. Muscular and nerve decay is why zombies are slow A Frenzy manic state is why the term infected was used but the game is called 'Dead Z' personally infected is good for me, if you could loose them and they didnt teleport all over the shop
  16. No teleporting space invader style zombies. A quick talk / statement button / shortcuts. and end to disconecting dying players Bodys staying around for longer (but belive that is in the works) Ways to at least stop the shakes (alcohol?) temporay or more ways to cure them. More consitancy of how a zombie can spot you.

  18. I'm trying to find more recent info on this as there as bee na few patches since any article i've read. Is the only way to cure the shakes still painkillers? As once you're out it's pritty much a death sentance to attempt to go anywhere that may have them (large towns), being unable to aim.

    Comparison with COD

    Myslef and a lot of others find COD incredibly derivative and money grabbing. It's so much that the game exists it's just that it's succses means it will be emulaited and force development of future games down a path a lot of people dispise.

    problems with inventory interface?

    i had somthing similar, i found out that is you have steam comunity open (shift tab) at anypoint durring the laoding of the server it bugs your invetory out. Bit of a shame as now cant even use the net via steam while waiting endless for it too let me in.
  21. Freedom for someone to play how they see fit is parmount. But it needs to be surported with better in game comunication. At least being able to comunicate quickly without loosing your abiltiy to fire your intentions and idealy to referance directly the pearson your near / looking at.
  22. Of coarse all items placed can't carry over servers due it clutter and general madness it would create. But what if once you had completed a vechile it could be 'summond' as in spawnd on you at a push of a button only once per log in. Once its destroyed it's gone Anyone contributing parts would have this ability but only can be used per contribuitor per server. Not very realistic i know but if you've slaved over a vechile you want to keep it, and for many (myself included), fixing a heli and flying the fek out of there is the end game.
  23. thanks for the help, it's defiently the pain shakes. Seems my character is a big girly wuss. But if they're common i guess i've just been unlucky (same as finding 2 hunting knifes but still no matches) i'll keep to the back roads then and cross my fingers.
