Anyone else having any problems getting flashlights to work? I spawned into a dark server and tried to use the one on my G17, military, and standard ones but they wouldn't work. Only way I could light up was by throwing flares/chemlights. Wierd. JoeDaddy92

Lately, a lot of the servers I've been joining are pushing 10-20 FPS. I know with Vsync turned off, on a good server I'm pushing 80 FPS on normal settings so I think that if servers aren't set to reset frequently, it does something server side to affect the framerate in general on the server. But that's just me :P JoeDaddy92

Or you can do what I do and play in unpopulated servers so you don't have to worry about someone shooting you :D

I was doing everything short of rolling on the ground flailing around and couldn't get it to come on. was about to make my guy run into a wall and see if he could hit a loose connection or something lol.

Hello all who see this. So my buddies and I were on Server DE 1002 (I believe that is in Germany? I'm not sure, I'm in the US) and we were trying to recover from a massive killing that happened in Elektro on that same server the night before. Well, I'm running around Elektro trying to gather up some supplies and vehicle parts to get a bus working. My buddies were northwest of Elektro trying to get to me so we can head out. All of a sudden I hear them saying something about a player and gunshots over Teamspeak. Then I see them both pop up dead and say something about a zombie with a hatchet. a few moments later, a bunch of satchel charges are going off around me in elektro's industrial site southwest of the city. I'm about to cut a barb wire trap to a building when I back up and the building gets leveled by a charge. I'm throwing warnings out in direct comms. telling whomever that is doing all of the bombing that I am recording and will show this footage. about 10 minutes later, I'm in a little shack getting a tire when my buddy runs in followed by that zombie guy (His name was Zombie). I tried to pop him and another regular zombie but I run out and the door closes and my friend gets trapped in the building and proceeds to get butchered by the guy. I run over and try to open the door and get it opened only to see his death pop up on screen and the guy start chasing me. So I'm laughing, taunting the guy while running telling him I've got him on fraps. He's using morphvox or something to alter his voice to sound creepy but it doesn't bother me, I run a little ways and D/C before he gets the pleasure of ending my life. and that's pretty much it. I'm hoping with the information I'm providing plus the video when it gets done handbraking and stitching together, can wipe this scumbag off of the DayZ population. I'll be posting the video ASAP. You guys are lucky. Last couple of days, I've been bombarded with a Jason Voorhees, satchel charge spam, and ghillie monsters. Can any of you guys recommend a good server? I'm tired of playing overseas servers just to catch day time and hackers. JoeDaddy92

I feel your pain bro. I was in the same exact spot you were watching that chopper in at morning time and my buddy and I were attacked by a guy using a zombie skin named zombie with a hatchet. My buddy died and I made it out alive. Got it all recorded on fraps. Waiting for it to pass through handbrake so I can stitch it together and make my complaint. Also, since nobody has said this yet, "Some survivors just want to watch the world burn" XD

Murdering freshies isn't the only way to accumulate murders I hope you know. Not everyone that moves in land is a bandit, so why not move further up and challenge yourself instead of wasting ammuntion?

Maybe if we beg the dev team and rocket, we can get a seperate title skin for murderer :D JoeDaddy92

Freaking hilarious XD Last funny hack that happened to me was my buddy and I were at NEAF and all of a sudden the words "STOP, HAMMER TIME!" Popped up on my screen and both myself and my buddy put our guns away and started dancing. I panicked and aborted before getting any of the footage. There were like 13 people in the server and after a quick glance, everyone d/c'd. Jumped back on and stopped dancing. JoeDaddy92

Judging by the game play you posted, you will always be labeled as a murderer no matter how buggy your stats are :D

Your answer lies within your question guy. Obviously you are using the wrong terms. If you get 5 "murders" you get 5 "murders" meaning you killed someone who had some humanity. When you get 5 "bandit kills" you are killing people with negative humanity and who have "bandit" status. That bandit status is the only negative label in this game if you didn't know. Nobody is getting mad bro. I personally don't care how people play. Some people will be good. some people will ride the line. some people will be straight up nasty. It's not about the gameplay. You wasted some people. good for you. On a technicality, it's how you earned your bandit status. But judging on how you were handling yourself, In my own honest opinion, you are more of a murderer than a bandit. Now, if you were to have included gameplay of you checking their bodies for loot and what not, then I might see things in a different light, but going off of what you have shown in the video, you are a murderer in my eyes. Umm... Yeah? XD Dude, look it up in the dictionary (you have the internet so look it up there too) and the definitions of a bandit and murderer are pretty far apart. If you kill other players on this game for sport, whether they had good stuff or not, it is murder. If you go around killing the other players that stand a chance and don't take their stuff, thats pretty much murder too. But if you are going after other players to survive, whether they have a weapon or not (because most of the time when I spawn fresh, I get a ton of food and meds before I find a weapon) and taking their supplies, then that is what is considered being a bandit. I'm hoping that in the future, they script the game to better differentiate the two terms. Just because you kill people in the game it doesn't make you a bandit. It's your intentions that make you a bandit. JoeDaddy92

Dude, I hope you realize there is a difference between being a bandit and being a murderer. I agree with mZLY, going to the coast and wasting the freshies that spawn doesn't make you a bandit unless you are stocking up on flashlights, bandages, and pain pills to supply an army. Thats like someone trying to start a foot race with someone whos trying to tie thier shoes. How about analyze the words bandit and murderer before you go calling yourself one or the other. Figured I would try to start something here. It seems that everytime I go to Cherno or Elektro or even the roads in between, I always find a mess of dead players laying around so I figure for gits and shiggles, take a screenshot of the player while studying their body and post it here. Hell for the bandits, they can photograph their victims and post it here. Maybe you'll see a past life or even a victim on here. I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem. When I first started playing a few weeks ago, I was hitting 60fps on all very high settings. I rely on my fraps counter like many others to get an approx. framerate. As of 1.7.2.5, myself and my buddies seem to be getting around 10-30 FPS in general. Here are my specs: Intel i7 2600 SandyBridge Nvdia GeForce GTX 580 Crucial 16GB DDR3 RAM Windows 7 64 Bit Gigabyte Z68 Motherboard Seagate 2TB HDD WD 64GB SSD Sony Bravia 32" LCD TV One of my friends just recently upgraded his rig with a 600 series graphics card and everything and yet he is still pulling the same frame rate I am. I did notice yesterday that while I had PlaywithSIX launcher up, something happened and it started using all 16GB of my RAM if that has anything to do with anyones performance issue. But as of now, I'm at a loss. Though one theory is with all of the graphical bugs that pop up (you know, the whole disco fever bug as well as the "some men just want to watch the world burn" bug) I'm guessing that these bugs are invisible to the player at most times running in the background and those extra graphical things running may put a strain on your PC. I don't know, I'm not a doctor. Just a theory. At any rate, I hope that the devteam can tartget the cause of the drop and fix it soon. JoeDaddy92

I'd say thats a pretty good idea. And for that, you get a can of beans.

Could it be done by the server admin? Another reason I ask is my group setup camp in a secluded spot where it was near impossible to get to and impossible to be seen from the ground and I believe someone spawned a 4th Huey and used some hacks to get to our spot and destroy everything we racked up including a GAZ, URAL, ATV, Huey, Bus, 4 tents full of weapons and equipment (not to mention the URAL was loaded to the teeth). I'm not trying to be a whiney bitch or anything (First rule of DayZ: Don't get attached to your gear) but given the circumstances, I believe that we were the victims of some jealous hackers.
