Knife Sheaths, because Hunting will make knives matter..
liquidsnake replied to Mr Jizz's topic in General Discussion
I'm just disappointed at how low the damage that any knife can deal is right now. Recently switched my combat knife for the M9 Bayonet and I'm waiting for knives to be fixed, they should be strong melee weapons as they can accurately punch a whole in a zombie or player. And the animation sucks now as well, I'd prefer a stab animation rather than a slash move. -
But your point is that the condition of the Mosins have severely degraded over time, right? In that case, I think that the current spawn system for weapons is just a place holder and that we'll eventually see a lot of damaged Mosins that are as inaccurate as you say they are. Perhaps pristine Mosins will be extremely rare in the finished game.

Great, will give it a visit soon

Is it on the in-game map?

Cannot find morphine/sticks after patch
liquidsnake replied to Thundefined's topic in General Discussion
You are a russian cocksucker? The hell, dude? Anyway, I have found two morphines post-patch so for me it seems to be just fine. -
The thing is, the Mosins in game right now are pristine. We'll probably see damaged Mosins spawn later on after some update, then it'll be more realistic and damaged Mosins would fire as worn out Mosins of today should. For now, they're all pristine.

I actually see 2, 4 and 7 happening at some point

Zelenogorsk has proven to be good to me. Two barracks and a prison, supermarket, lots of houses, the new medical building and police station, even lots of barns in the neighbourhood (~4!). And generally no players around. If you ask me, that's where the players should be, rather than Cherno and Elektro.

That or he had the fire mode on where you shoot both shells at once and he simply missed, thinking the spread would get you. I get that all the time with shotguns. I point in their general direction, thinking they're in the spread, but eventually just a few or even no pellets hit the target. Tends to happen when i freak out or something

POLL: Change the instant zombie respawns... a bit much?
liquidsnake replied to Sgt.BigBeasty's topic in General Discussion
I like it, it simulates aggroeing a crowd of zombies when firing a gun without actually having to ruin FPS by spawning an entire crowd at once. Fixing suppressors is what they need to do here. -
Pistols too inaccurate as well as m4?!
liquidsnake replied to Sgt.BigBeasty's topic in General Discussion
I wouldn't call weapon accuracy "fine tuning". Weapon accuracy is part of the core experience IMO and especially the way it is now, it messes with the game too much to ignore it and fine tune it later. -
Anyone else hide weapons to prevent others from looting them?
liquidsnake replied to thequantum's topic in General Discussion
It doesn't make any sense (except maybe on the coastline with lots of fresh spawns, at least if there weren't other equipped players out there). The chances of other players already having guns to begin with are high, as they obviously aren't all fresh spawns and you can't hide all the weapons out there. It probably doesn't even stop them from finding weapons. Also, you're exposing yourself greatly when picking up every gun or military loot you see rather than just a quick glance to pick out the stuff you need. You're WAY better off just trying to be as aware of your surroundings as possible and looting as efficiently as you can. That and it's extremely dickish... -
It should be hard to get, fairly effective (but obviously not too effective) and when unequipping it you shouldn't be able to move for like 10 seconds to give it a huge disadvantage as well. It should also take 10 secs to set up.

AKM Sneak peak close to being implemented
liquidsnake replied to theswedishcathead's topic in General Discussion
That's possible? I thought you'd need to exchange the barrel at the least -
Well, that's one poor soul spared then. I think it's some sort of glitch that's causing this, try dropping it and picking it up again.

new wool coat and cap, and apparently rain is wet :P
liquidsnake replied to Ineedscoffee's topic in General Discussion
Dayz is supposed to be quite far into the apocalypse already and one does not easily keep his clothes impeccably clean in a damn zombie apocalypse lol. I know there are other "clean" clothes in the game, but this just looks too clean and too perfect. It's like a newly bought coat, at least that's what it looks like to me  -

Lol this looks so unbelievably out of place in a zombie apocalypse. Nonetheless, it looks good B) -
Hate to say it but you should kill a new spawn to be sure you have a full battery lol
-
I've found one, along with that FNX red dot sight, but I have a Magnum so yeah
-
Lol, this guy..

AKM Sneak peak close to being implemented
liquidsnake replied to theswedishcathead's topic in General Discussion
Damn it would be hard to choose between the new AK and my Mosin... -
Servers are still down anyways, so why the rush?
-
How long are they gonna be down? There's still nothing on my server list...

Are you kidding me??? There are not only a lot of them, but they are also still in civilian use today. They are anything but pieces of shit, maybe you're talking about WW2 Nagants that have been buried in mud for 70 years... They obviously can't compete with today's sniper rifles but they're fine rifles for sure
