    Binoculars now in Experimental Build!

Weird, I got my grandfathers original WW2 british binocs and it's the exact same. Did the British and Bolsheviks use the same binocs? Can't post a pic right now, but you'll see what I mean when you search for "British No2 Mk3 binoculars" on google images.

    Vehicles? No thanks!

If you think you can drive through Cherno (I should say Berezino now) and run over noobs, you're gonna have a very very bad time

    Claim an abandoned building

They already spoke about zombies being able to bunch up on the barricades and bash through, so I suspect it'll only be effective in areas with a low zombie count, AKA no cities. Otherwise I'll proceed to get some zombies after me and lead them to the barricaded house in the hopes of them taking care of the barricades for me

    What you wear....

Thanks for that. Maybe someday I'll have a similar experience. I know I would've assumed the other guy was his buddy and looking to kill me as soon as I'd see him peeking into the house. I guess I'm a bit too careful, because I would've missed all this friendliness. I'll try being less intimidated by every fool with a gun.

Large mall needs to be added!

    It isn't the capital city

    Claim an abandoned building

I was thinking boarding up windows/doors. Barricades should be removable with certain equipment and take 30 secs. Man, I'm gonna find me a cabin in the woods and actually live there when hunting is implemented.

A Way To Fix Gamma Exploiting

Agreed. And when fire gets added, setting stuff on fire is a no-brainer

Magazines are too hard to find

Mags belong in the gun as much as the barrel does. Guns don't get left behind without their mag, though mags can be left without the gun.

A Way To Fix Gamma Exploiting

We need flares. They don't give away your exact position and blind gamma abusers :D

    What you wear....

I suppose I should try that myself. I always assumed everyone knew about side chat, but apparently non-Arma/mod players don't even have a clue.

    What you wear....

I seriously think something's wrong with the communication system. Even when I give players weapons, I can't even get a thank you out of them. The best communication I've ever had was a guy flipping me off when I held him up.

    The Curse of Green Mountain

The mountain got him. It takes over your mind. They say the soul of Che Guevara roams GM and makes everyone commit suicide after celebrating the Cuban Revolution

    What you wear....

I don't have a mic, so i type. What troubles me is that I litterally never get a response. I have yet to talk with a player rather than talk to them.

    What you wear....

I had lots of encounters like that in the mod, but in SA something seems to be wrong with the communication. I have held up people plenty of times and didn't even get a response. I have talked to people with no response. In fact, no one has EVER responded or talked to me in SA, even the ones I gave weapons when holding them up. Not even a thank you. That's my main problem with the game. I know they hear me, since they listen to my every command when I hold them up :P but no response, ever.

    actions like headbutting/biting

We really don't need little Mike Tysons running around knocking everyone out and biting people's ears off (lol). I swear I'll drop my gun if they make unarmed players even more powerful I would like some sadistic ways to kill, though.

    What you wear....

I have had a friendly encounter once in NWAF. The guy came strolling into the hangar I was looting and I immediately had my Mosin on him, though a bit startled. He didn't raise his gun so I didn't shoot and slowly made my way out of there while not letting him out of my sight. I appreciate that he didn't raise his gun and it saved us a nasty ending, but I would never keep my gun down when seeing another player in CQ. Maybe I should, it'd lead to way less standoffs but also more unnecessary deaths.

Military Tents Spawn To Much Loot?

This, yeah. I think nerfing Balota to one prison and one or two barracks and two tents would fix it. NWAF would still be the mack daddy with the tents now spawning lots of stuff and NEAF is pretty good compared to what it used to be. Add a few tents to Stary again and it's all good.

    What you wear....

If I'm a fresh spawn and you have something I want, I'll go for the kill, regardless. Everyone is a bandit in SA, it's ridiculous and I won't waste any more energy trying to help people other than the odd survivor. Once I even told some guy with broken legs I'd help him and searched for some splints/morphine. I came back to tell him I found a rope and I only needed sticks and he just attacked me... I have genuinely lost faith in the SA community. I remember that there was this hero vs bandit thing going on in a lot of the mod servers, but that's nowhere to be found in SA. Sometimes I avoid players, most of the times I run into players without the option to avoid I hold them up (or kill them if they have a gun drawn and pointed at me). I have given my victims gear and I have taken gear from them, it all depends on my mood I guess. Clothing doesn't make much of a difference to me, unless the guy's wearing a mask/gasmask or if he's fully geared with a helmet. Without a helmet is okay, but fully geared with helmet just rubs me the wrong way and makes me trigger happy. Not sure why.

    Your first kill?

I was in Cherno and saw someone come down from the sniper tower. I've played the mod for years and know by now that survivors/heroes have no business up there and shot him in the guts with my newfound Mosin.

    The Curse of Green Mountain

Love how it says "unknown" when he first aims at that thing. It's from Namalsk, isn't it?
  22. Today I experienced something that shows the good side of KoS. It all started 2 days ago, when I spawned in Three Valleys, south of Solnichniy. I was stoked about finally spawning close(ish) to Elektro and leaving that KoS cesspit in Berezino behind me. I went inland and looted all the little towns on my way to Elektro. I ended up with a Mosin and a crossbow. Elektro seemed unlooted and I entered the police station. I always make sure I know what's happening in my surroundings so I spotted a semi-fresh spawn strolling into the offices as I gazed out from the top of the police station. I normally don't mind other playersin the same town and avoid them, but nevertheless I decided I should kill him, considering he'd probably go the same road as I was planning: Elektro-Cherno-Balota. He would become competition for the loot and I wasn't fond of that. He climbed the stairs to the top of the offices. The perfect kill, I thought. I aimed carefully and fired my Mosin. To my great dismay I saw the bullet land somewhere else. That damn cone of fire of course. He swiflty made his way down from the ladder (in the process, I missed another shot which should've been on target). He got away and I decided to leave Elektro and meet him in Cherno, since he seemed to have vanished from under the sun. I had two primaries at that point, so halfway there I spotted him behind me, not knowing of my presence. I wasn't in a good shooting position, so I stalked him. I figured he'd loot the barn and meet his end there, by my hand. However, he ran considerably faster than I did, due to having one primary and I lost him. He would've still been in my sight if he went to the barn, which was my plan, but he went straight for Cherno. I decided to skip Cherno and loot Balota, so all the good stuff would be mine while he was looting Cherno. I was pleased to find Balota unlooted and all to myself (and that in a server with 40 players). I left Balota content, with my brand new engraved 1911 and some other stuff. I looted the town and made my way to the barn. I had dropped my Mosin by then, because I was only carrying it to kill the guy, I was planning to make my way up to Zelenogorsk and RP being a survivor with a measly .22 rifle. I was going to survive as long as possible instead of going PvP. As I said, I try to be as aware of my surroundings as possible, so I spotted someone standing at the top of the barn while moving inside. He clearly was expecting me and got a hit on me. I already had my 1911 sights on him and recklessly fired the entire clip at him while making my way to cover. The suppression worked and he missed and went for cover. I peeked around the corner to find the very same guy I shot at in Elektro. I knew something like this was bound to happen if he lived. He made his way down and I managed to shoot him in the chest with my 1911. He had his SKS on me as well so I didn't dare go for a second shot. He responded to this by fleeing outside. I wasn't sure if he was bleeding so I waited it out and left the barn for Zelenogorsk when I didn't hear anything for the next 10-15 minutes. I finally made my way to Zelenogorsk and hoped the guy was still in Balota, since there's more loot there of course. I found Zelenogorsk unlooted as well and went nuts with all the loot. Still only had my crossbow, 1911 and Amphibia. I proceeded to loot the garages behind the Police Station and that stupid glitch which incessantly unequips my 1911 or any handgun started acting up. I made my way into the house with the small corridor, with my crossbow out as my only option. It's one of those low loot houses so I didn't bother clearing it as I normally do. Yet, there he sits. The same damn guy, expecting me with his SKS out. In that little room alongside the corridor. I knew I was a goner and tried to aim for the head with my crossbow (only way to kill him), but as soon as the crosshair met with his head, I already had a 7.62 in my guts and fell to the floor. The same guy... This is why sometimes, KoS is the way to go. In the end, you might end up killed by the very guy you had in your sights a day ago. If you know he's gonna go the same route as you are, put one in his head. GG to the guy who killed me.

Will they add a new 'big city'?

I don't want to see any more of those useless little towns. I love Svetloyarsk and Cherno Polana or whatever, but right now I think variety is key to spreading the players over the map. I'd prefer to see more unique venues, like Rify, scattered accross the north. Be it an abandoned nuclear plant or a crashed plane, I don't really care. Just want to see more uniqueness.

    Wear your helmets, folks

I stopped wearing helmets. I'll take the chance of getting headshotted in exchange for better camo and looking less smug. For some reason helmets make players look smug.
