I find it ridiculous that they seem te be under the impression that a 500 sec wait is not worth it to combat log and keep all your gear. Combat loggers will obviously keep doing it and gladly wait 500 secs if that's what it takes to keep their precious gear. We need something that genuinely stops this.

You're the one who needs to re-read posts. I never implied you said the SKS was x54R, I simply emphasised that the pistol will be more powerful than the SKS, which you expressed to find weak. And please refrain from using that highly annoying know-it-all tanner, because I already pointed out that the Mosin didn't use x51 IRL. The damage system of SA differs from the mod and Arma, so for now there is no reason to believe that x54R will do the same damage as the x51 round. In SA, sometimes the x51 does indeed fail to kill, but I've experienced OHKs a lot more often than not and I believe it's the right cartridge for the handgun. I've never seen the x51 hit and not even cause bleeding. It's fairly reliable from my experience, even if it's one shot.

From what I know, the only bug that insta kills players first shows the "your leg is in pain" message. Or maybe you had a heart attack? Did you notice any messages like "my heartbeat feels irregular" or "my chest hurts"? I've had a heart attack once and had the privilege of not dying afterwards

I've noticed that the sun sets remarkably early in Chernarus, as early as 15:30 it's basically evening.

SKS is x39. This pistol is more powerful than that. The Mosin is x51 (in DayZ), not x54R. the Mosin one shots just about everything and the SKS has a lot of OHK potential up close (I've been OHK'd with that thing more than I've been killed with multiple shots from it). Considering the handgun would be somewhere inbetween those, I'm content.

On experimental the earliest it ever was in the servers was 15:20. It's like they loop from 15:00 to 18:00, really weird.

I already made my peace with the fact that DayZ will always have its fair share of glitches. I knew it from the beginning. The reason I bought it anyway was the sheer fun I had with the glitchy mod full of hackers. There were so many flaws in the mod, yet it was so addicting. I'm willing to bet that SA will someday achieve the same and be a release-worthy game. -

I found 3 anti-stab vests and 1 press vest. Been getting pretty lucky lately. If only the anti-stab vests weren't completely useless :)

I tried this once in the hopes of my M4 being a capable marksman rifle, but I couldn't even hit a zombie from 300m. My M4 has a pristine rail handle, stock buttstock, bipod and ACOG. Ridiculous.

Fits the environment perfectly, looks awesome, has a more powerful round than Magnum but can only be hand loaded (perfect balancing without defying realism :wub:). Would love to see it, there aren't even any cons.

Tactical Mirror & Spraypaint warnings

My FPS is already like 20-25 in cities, which leaves a lot to be desired. Mirrors have a significant impact on performance, though they seem to work in Arma 3 fairly well (horrible performance in MP, tho). If they can up the performance from what it is now, mirrors can be implemented. I haven't seen any improvement on the mod in terms of performance and they've communicated multiple times that this engine is specifically made for DayZ, so I'm expecting a massive improvement at some point. -
I love both and believe that the two of them have their pros and cons. The pros and cons equal out IMO, so I really don't care about which is better.

Camps + cars = fully geared players actually trying to survive up north instead of going on a killing spree + several survivors going camp hunting + more players occupied with finding cars (AKA spreading accross the map more) + more players specifically looking for industrial loot rather than military loot (further spreading them accross the map) = a lot less KoS in all settlements. Could probably name a few more.

An engraved M1911 doesn't ruin immersion, while a G3A4 does. It's not so much the rarity in the eastern bloc as it is the high-end modern aspect of guns that ruin immersion. I bet nobody would bat an eye when a Winchester lever-action gets added, yet we'll all go nuts when an overly kitted out AK12 is added. Authenticity means that the game doesn't feel tacky and unrealistic, even if it actually is. If a fitting weapon can realistically occur in the eastern bloc, it's nothing more than a pleasantry. -

I had the same thing a few times. What they need to do is have random slots take a "hit". If you shoot a player in the chest with 7.62, you hit his chest rig and shirt. a random slot in those items should then be ruined (maybe two-three in a cluster) and the chest rig and shirt damaged (1 hole, who cares, but the blood definitely does damage). With a shotgun, chest rig and shirt are riddled and thus ruined, but not every single item should be hit. 3-4 random slots (seperated, not a cluster like 7.62) should be ruined.
