Hyp3r, for someone who obviously considers themselves to be intelligent I'm suprised You play the game at such a base level. Of course PvP exists in the game, but you can choose wether or not to and still play the game (ie medics/scavengers etc). If you consider non PvP to be avoiding all human contact in game then you can do this too and there is still a game there, its just a different experience. PvP is part of DayZ but its not essential for everyone to actively take part in it to get an exciting gaming experience, hence not inevitable. And its only unbiquitous in the sense that it could POTENTIALLY happen anywhere anytime. I agree it exists and is part of the game, but it is not the sole focus of it. I'm suprised you're 36 from your posts.

That sentence is illogical, you contradict yourself. Also you misunderstand Sula's post, he says PVP is not inevitable which is true, its just that many players now choose that way to play. Usually if human beings don't understand something they eventually turn to destruction.

OP is half right, it is of course both PvP and PvE, its also just a dry run so don't expect an actual 'purpose' until the standalone. As stated it can be played however you want (todays Jamz achievement - kill a chicken with a Huey crash. Then eat chicken. Now get out there!).

My first ever one had AS50, MK48 mod 0, L85 AWS and FN FAL AV/PS4 all with plenty of ammo (I thought that was normal for heli crash at the time). Now they've mostly always been farmed...

DayZ needs more anomalies!

I raided NW airfield north baracks, fire station and hangars and found nothing better than my AKM. Thought I'd just try the deer stand by the baracks as I left and found a DMR and MP5SD both with ammo! It must have taken pity on me...

I've never had this problem and never lost my pack or contents when switching skins, but now I take my pack off in case. If I ever lose my pack when I put it on the ground though I'll go back to just switching skins like before.

Can you do this with a heli crash? I didn't know that!

Ditched my DMR for a regular FAL last night but only because the heli crash had 2 of them and a AN/PVS-4 with 3 mags for each so I'm loaded with ammo for it.. it will me more useful to me than the sniper was. I'd have taken the M14 too over the FN AN/PVS-4, but the M249 is my fave weapon in the game so I'd actually have had that!

No probs, remember the zombies cannot harm you unless you stop moving and they cannot go onto the tarmacked areas on the docks so if in trouble just run to one of the big cranes and try and figure out your next move!

Look in houses for pistols, barns for rifles and industrial areas for hatchets as initial weapons, then move to firestations/airports/military tents for machine guns. KEEP RUNNING in town, doesn't matter how many zombies follow you just lead them to a place with two exits as once they get indoors they can only walk so you can lose them. If you can't find a building then confuse them by running in circles around objects to break line of sight etc. They're pretty dumb. I usualy crouch run in town and then double tap to sprint if seen by zombies. Supermarkets are most important first for canned food/ drink /weapon/bigger backpacks, not to mention survival tools. Check the map linked above for their locations if you have trouble and if you don't know where you are when you spawn use landmarks to figure it out. Its very hard at first so don't worry but after a few deaths you'll be sprinting around Cherno/Electro with the rest of us!

Maybe the most unrealistic thing about the whole game is the fact that an endless stream of cap wearing survivors are continually washing up on the shores of the god forsaken place with just a torch, bandage and pack of painkillers each and then, despite all obviously all coming from the same wrecked ship, decide the best idea would be to run around the nearest city ignoring the flesh eating zombies and picking up canned food so they can find massive guns to finish each other off with. Just a thought :P

It would be better if the zombies were actual zombies, so headshots only. That would make things a lot harder if you got into trouble and aggroed two or three who sprinted toward you, you could still pick them off from a distance but you couldn't blindly charge into them spraying bullets. To make good loot harder to obtain it would still have to be able to be got by single players, but it would always be that groups could get to it easier. a random grouping mechanic would help.

The fun part of this game is gearing up, starting over is what its about so just get up, dust off and get back in there.

This game would benefit from including a grouping mechanic. It wouldn't impact at all on the pvp aspect which I believe is core to the game even though it isn't my personal playstyle... It would however add another dimension for lone players and remove the pvp advantage that offline groups have at the moment. I'd like to see randoms able to safely group if they want to and I think so far the poll reflects that.

I seem to gain about 250 humanity every time I put on a ghillie suit or camo gear... I guess its a bug?

Remember its just a game. But OP has taken it outside of that and into the realms of actual bullying sadly, with his Skype cowardice....
