At the start just run to cherno or elektro and gear up at shop, buildings and the hospital, after that go north. Don't care too much about dying until you have some gear and are out of your first raid of a big city. Its much more annoying if you crawled all your way, just to get killed fast. Better risk much in the beginning get gear and then you need to be carefull and travel open range. Once you have a water bottle, matches, hatchet and hunting knife, you can survive very easily by hunting, cooking meat and refill the water bottle in lakes, you have to find a map or use one in the internet too. Oh and another good tip, check out the castle ruins on mountains like Zub or Rog, much gear, very little zombieactivity (just like 1-3), watch for other players though...

Well, I think if I would play any game this often I would've been bored a long time before you. :PI play like 5 hours a week since a month.

The thing many just don't understand is that Arma 2 and Arma 3 both use the same engine. It just has been developed and improved for the next game. DayZ now will develop the engine to its own needs.
