  2. ofc the whole humanity system needs to be adjust like the one from taviana where your kill behavior is more important. A hero wont stay a hero for too long if he kills survivors and heros. Bandits dont gain humanity by bloodbags and so on. why deathmatch? A hero should not kill survivors/heros to stay a hero. Stay a hero to be able to give a bloodtransfusion

    Hot Zones - logging out

    its a good step but I would like the need of a camping tent (the round ones) to logout since it makes sense. Ye ye it would make the game even harder... but maybe it would be more fun too

  5. hi there Im one of your opponents at this day. Wanna know my sight of view? My group already met you at about 15:00 or maybe slightly before. I saw your Ural stopping because you needed to repair it. This time you all was such an easy task to take out for me but no I dont shoot noobs. We waiting untill you were gone and continued with our work and started off just 1min or 2min. Then we drove in the same direction... 15:40 there we are Myself was the first person who noticed your ural soo I asked the driver to beep (we always beep so other players notice us). You started to open fire -.- Unfortunaley "the villian" got kicked by battleeye in this special moment -.-. You thought one of yours hit him xD It was a big mistake to shot at US. I dont want to kill noobs but since you shoot us... I was going to teach you how to shot properly! Unfortunaley myself and a mate got some communication problems so our counterstrike was delayed but we managed to built a 2 man formation ^^ since our 3rd was kicked. I noticed a guy of yours on the field, so i took cover and engaged, 1st guy down. Ofc I was aware he wasnt alone so I moved forward seeking for you. Saw you behind the ural, took cover and waited for a clean shot... 2nd down. We looked out for more enemys but didnt saw any. Our 3rd mate just logged in and watched out for more while we took your stuff. A 3rd stranger appeared so the villian took him out but we think this guy just heard our gun shoots... it seems this guy doesnt belong to your group. at 18:27 you heard from your mate, they got me. You can see my deathmessage there. Let me tell my point of view. I saw 2 other guys. My mate just said he wants to test his mk mod 48 on a player a few seconds ago. So I didnt engage and let him take the one down... unfortunaley it took too long and he gave away our postion with the trace bullets (I should have killed him with 1-2 bullets instead of my mate with ~20 bullets). Then I got shot at (right im shot at not my mate -.-) and I was dead but those shoots gave away enemys position... it was just luck of your team mate. From what I heard the 1 player left of yours could taste how it feels when A LOT OF BULLETS are raining down on him. I guess the left one started to flee in panic but this was another big mistake. A mate switched to m107 and it was over. ----- They took me off at kameni and we met again at this day. We drove the ural (beeping :) at the airfield and you didnt manage to kill one of us again. Usually we teach you again how to shoot but we were already going to log off. Just searching for a friendly place to log out. Looking forward to meet your squad again :)
  6. Hi there There are a lot of things ingame I dont know if its meant to be a feature or its just a bug. 1. You and a friend are in a doorway and trying to cross each other... one of them broken bone, dead. 2. Your friend is prone on the floor, you walk over him... broken bone, almost dead. 3. Prone over a small stone, broken bone, bleeding. 4. Walking over stones (not the 3-5m high ones), sometimes broken bone. 5. Just sliding a sliding sharp decline without collision a tree or sth but broken bone, bleeding and dead. I can go on so its a bug or a feature? btw happy new year
  7. you all dont get it! 1st person is better in general BUT go prone in 1st person on tall grass and see nothin while an enemy at a certain distance is able to see you (grass disappears at a certain distance). So snipers are in advantage. Only if there is a resolution to this issue then 1st person would be the best choice for everyone (althought helicopter in 1st person is quite hard).

  12. Hi there Everyone who comes from arma2 will know how awesome a viewrange above 2000m is. Its not comparable. Dayz looks like a world of fog. Fog here fog there. The limited viewsize (its actually just 1000m) makes sniping much harder. Its kind of unrealistic to never be able to watch further than 1000m. Sniping above 1000m is impossible too ofc. Cmon rocket, give us the option to choose viewrange by ourself. Viewrange limited serverside is sooo... it would be ok if it would be 2000-3000m viewrange but 1000m is just not enough. 2500m wont need much more cpu power than it takes at the moment. who is with me?

    viewrange clientside

    I still think you didnt play arma2 multiplayer or you are just a retard.I am not speaking about the viewdistance in video options since this has effects singleplayer only (as far as I know). I have wf options on my favorite arma2 co server. There I can set viewdistance from 500-4000m. This means viewdistance is limited to 4000m serverside BUT we can set it clientside from 500-4000m. Thats just what chabowski suggested and it works flawlessly in arma2. So why not use it in dayz? next - at the moment dayz server actually put far away entities to sleep/despawn - no. why? - no. why? You care about playability, server resources and bandwidth? I dont know how much you are into the arma2 engine or how much developing experience you got but I wonder how arma2 co manages to make it work flawlessly. last At the moment zombies magical appear at a distance of 300m (or 400m). So what? Players magical appear at 1000m till i never can see above 1000m in dayz. I would be able to see them at a distance of 4000m if... so what is better? I would be able to see players if there are in my viewrange and Im always aware that zombies spawn at a distance of approx 300m. Sorry im not stupid enough to make such mistakes. Please stop it now. Its senseless to discuss with you

    viewrange clientside

    Chabowski I like you idea but 2000m is not enough. 3000-4000m should be the max limit. There are not much pc's out there who can handle 4000m anyway so... :) I will post screen to show you why 3000-4000m is better. thats just wrong. You can set your viewdistance in arma2 from 500m-4000m and it works without any issues. It doesnt affect network use. Arma2 netcode is bad in general but thats another topic. I guess you didnt play arma2 Its not getting worse by making sniping easier. You didnt play arma2 too otherwise you would know thats its quite hard to hit targets at a range 1000m or even more. Hitting moving targets at 1000m or more is almost pure luck. edit: make yourself an impression (the server limited it to 3000m -.-) im at Pik Kozlova looking down to Prigorodky 1000m (dayz default) 2000m 3000m yeah you can actually see cherno from there

    L85 Should it stay or go

    sounds like you never had the gun. The l85 is actually just usefull up to 300m. So its basicly a low-mid range weapon. No you cant camp on elektro roof and shot everybody for hours... its not a sniper. The first guy with a sniper will kill the l85 on the roof easily from 500-800m. The l85 cant do anything at this range. The zeroing of the l85 is useless. A thermal scope will be absolutely the same as a l85 aws because the l85 aws was just used to spot enemys, then switch to as50 and go for the shot. Remove waypoints and nameplates because this features makes a rangefinder useless! Regular servers are so... I get the distance without the need of a rangefinder... Veteran servers... I use waypoints to get the distance. Remove the range count on waypoints, just leave the arrow. I cant tell the exact distance to any target on a map in real life, can you?

    what exactly are the reasons to remove l85 aws? its not unfair because everyone could found one and it wasnt actually such a big advantage (reduced view cuz of scope made it fair I think) the thermal would made an advantage when the viewsight would be increased to 3000m. The closer the enemy are to yourself the more useless the thermal becomes. On the other side l85 is useless at a range above 300m so it was basicly a spotter weapon. Spotting is an important part of the game but I still think its better to spot people without thermal and take thermal to confirm enemys instead of the other way round. You got vulnerable when spotting with thermal and and and.... basicly it was fair in my opinion althought I belonged to the crybabies too before I actually own the gun and could make experiences with it at the moment there is no way to counter a ghillie sniper with as50 or even worse a ghillie sniper with dmr + nv at night. You cant spot them at a distance over 500m when they are camping...
