that is not server side, but .2 hotfix problem. a lot of similar threads lately. hopefully .3 is going to be better ;) be patient

how is it not possible now? i've seen many locked servers but yeah, agree that the locking is against the core purpose of the game. one could just have a private server, get uber loot, and go hunting in "regular" servers, and that would just suck

It was not perfect. The reason the .2 hotfix was released is mainly because there were no food or water to be found, only tin cans. The spawns were a mess, and the .2 fixed it. Now, the melee weapons are somehow bugged, the hatchet and crowbar "ammo" drops are bugging and crashing the servers, so the .3 is going to be released to fix that. derp

This is due to improper instalation of the beta patch. My friend had the same issue, he was invisible, the location of his logout didn't save and the debug monitor (the box thing) was gone. We fixed it after like 5 hours xD

So... when is this released again? :D

Okay, so i spawned in the debug field, tried everything but gave up. Lost some high end gear but nvm :) The night is DARK. I mean, elektro is like a disco xD As i crawled my way in, hearing zombies around me, and my flashlight didn't work, it is a miracle that i didn't aggro them. Oh, and the new sounds are creepy as hell. I kinda like it. You now must use glowsticks or flares as you cannot exploit the gamma/brightness anymore. It is much more atmospheric. And the fact that you can now hide form zombies is very nice :D

Ok, so the crowbar and hatchet melee is real? Cuz i have the weirdest boner right now....

What is it with you people? Everybody just insults everybody. If someone writes something like : "i searched 3 towns and 5 barns, not a single canned food or pepsi or anything, the hotfix seems to screw up the loot spawns", 90% of the people will reply with either a sarcastic answer, or a failed troll attempt or something like "hurr durr go play cod", "n00b carebear" or something like that I never complained about anything, still i got bashed many times for shit. Grow up jesus, it seems like everyone here is like 12-15 years old, just got their pubes or something, hang out on 9gag or something untill their brains rott. NOTHING bothers me. I am not a carebear, i enjoy pvp (never kill for loot, just for fun and pissing people off), i enjoy the super zombies, even more fun to lure to other people, i enjoy the dark, cityes are like Vegas.... BUT, if i see something that can be fixed or done in a better way, i express myself. Why the fuck not, i mean it IS an alpha right? Every critic helps in some way. And what really bothers me is the people bashing on new members instead of discussing with them in a rational and non childish way. I spend almost every coffee break i have on this forum, and the way some people are treated makes me kinda sad. Every server, and i mean EVERY server i join laggs so bad it is beyond unplayable. Is it because of me or does more of you guys have the same problem? :/

I reverted back to 1.6.0.1 from 1.7 at one point to try the ghillie, having spawned in the ocean previously. I saw the ocean flashing, but after several respawns didnt spawn in the ocean. The problem seemed to be in the 1.7 because i didnt have the beta then. Maybe the beta fixed it, i am not sure. Saw a couple of people in ghillie/camo since the beta became required so i guess its ok now?
