Never found one, though in my defense i am mostly playing on night time servers and don't know how the ingame model looks like yet
-
oh :/ Well, at least we can look forward to seing it implemented :)

Compass suggestion / Using both hands with small items.
Tegla (DayZ) replied to cccpmob's topic in General Discussion
An axe or a bat would be hard to use in one hand, at least in real life. Have you ever tried swinging a firemans axe? That thing is heavy -
PSA: From next DayZ update, if you disconnect while handcuffed, you will forfeit your character (they will die). #DayZ

Absolutely agree -
Compass suggestion / Using both hands with small items.
Tegla (DayZ) replied to cccpmob's topic in General Discussion
The mod did have a compass with the backlight so that made it readable during the night. I like the idea though, that way you could have a flashlight in one hand and a pistol in the other EDIT: Yeah, but thats kinda retarded, isn't it? :/ -
Spoil it for me :) I usually don't hang around the coast so it would be a while untill i find it
-
Oh boy, i forgot about that! Do your items still float away when you swim? IF anyone finds Utes i would love to go see the changes they did to it

Why are people complaining about KOS like it's a feature issue?
Tegla (DayZ) replied to kragz's topic in General Discussion
There will always be people who kos. You can try to be more carefull around cities, watch your surroundings and listen for any noise. It's kinda realistic too in a way, in real life apocalypse there would be people who don't care about human lives and seing as there are no laws preventing them for killing somebody, they would be very trigger happy. Also may ba panic induced if they are geared. Gear is kinda a double edged sword here i believe. If it's abundant, people shoot on sight, if it's rare like right now though, people will be even more carefull not to loose their gear and just pull the trigger rather that risking. The scarcity of firearms is great though. Less people will have access to guns, and those who do will try to preserve ammo for that one time when they get stuck in a building with a horde outside, or just for defenthing themselves against another bandit, and probably won't waste it shooting another survivor for an extra flashlight battery -
The thing is, loot doesn't respawn normally yet, only after server restart. That combined with the already scarce spawn points and Kamenka being Kamenka and a coastal town is why you can't find any loot. Try heading north, Zeleno is not that far :)

Yeah haha, those stupid deaths really do make you laugh :) That and a giant rock sucking me in and throwing me everywhere. Oh, and when you drive with an ATV over a bridge, launching you spinning rapidly 100 feet in the air. Or the stairs breaking your legs when you try to crouch on them. Oh boy, i am almost looking forward to brand new bugs :D
-
Oh boy, chemlight were awesome. I justloved them, even though they painted you like a giant target in the night. They were very atmospheric. Flares as well. Comming in Cherno at night and seing a flare glow in the middle of the street and painting all nearby buildings red, hearing makarov fire in the distance.. Oh man. They were not very usefull for obvious reasons, but added a lot to the atmosphere im my opinion

My guy only says stuff like "i'm hungry" or ''i'm thirsty''. The screen stays the same color for me :/
-
That's nothing man :D Anyone remembers being on top of a building and your guy decides to run and leap to his death instead of laying down?
-
Did you try changing servers? If that does nothing, can you move at all? If it's bugged and you can, set the character to sprint and jam a coin in your "w" button. I think you should die eventually due to hunger/thirst
-
All of them honestly. I really like the ammount of enterable buildings. Spent at least an hour in Zeleno because od that. I didn't quite explore the wjole map yet though, are there any interesting places i should visit?
-
Nice, didn't know that. Side question though, how do you know you are low on blood? I was bleedong for a long time yesterday before i managed to stop and bandage, but my screen didn't loose color
-
Im in kinda the same boat. I would love if food and water as essential supplies stay scarce as they are, firearms too, but if loot didn't respawn, most new players would starve to death and eventually give up on the game.
-
I am terribly sorry for dissapointing you, i know i have read a post about loot respawning yesterday on reddit, but i cannot find it. I am searching for keywords "loot" "respawn" "restart" but no results. This is rocket's reddit account www.reddit.com/user/rocket2guns He posts quite often so take a look there
-
I too thought it was another one of "those" posts :D One of the reasons i came back on this forum is that dayz subreddit is filled with theese
-
Please stop with copy pasting that text. I have seen it at least 30 times since the SA came out. Nobody is bitching about the game except maybe a few people on reddit and on steam forums (not that anyone takes the steam forums seriously though). Sometimes people pointing out bugs get blamed for bitching and spammed that warning. It is alpha, bugs are expected and most imortantly expected to be reported.

i know i read somewhere about this problem i'll try to find the source when i get home (on the phone currently)
-
It is a bug and will be fixed :)
-
That would be such an overkill though :) You know what would be nice? If you could tie two players together, back to back while robbing them. Such great rp potential. And maybe the could get free after a while if they have a knife on them?

What do think about the game so far ?!
Tegla (DayZ) replied to TheRegliz's topic in General Discussion
I really like it. It is much better optimised than arma at least from my perspective as it runs much smoother and with higher fsp on my dated rig. The excitement of finding loot is here again, just like the good old days before we had the wiki and dayz db telling us where to look for it. I am expecially loving the scarcity of weapons as it promotes communication and not the kos mentality. Just bought the game yesterday, but in those couple of hours i had so much fun scavenging the houses at night and helping my fellow fresh spawns on thw coast. I haven't explored the whole map yet, but i am loving the changes so far. Looking forward to seeing this game grow once again -
An apology to the person who tried to kill me last night
Tegla (DayZ) replied to chaitin's topic in General Discussion
