I think I understand what your saying but the key problem here is that MOST people are not going to pay if they don't have to, if you give people the option to pay what they want and not a set price then essentially you've just made free dlc. Basically your idea is to give people an easier way to donate money to developers.

Rare items shouldn't automatically be the best.

rare but ultimatly usless items....i like the idea they might could come to surve as some sort of currency type thing for trading, im not suggesting a currency system, but rare things have value because theyre rare, just like the mountain dew, its no different than a pepsi but its kind of special to have one lol if there were more rare things besides weapons like nesting-dolls (just example) mabey someone would want to collect a whole set, thus making them valuable to that person, so they might be willing to trade usefull stuff for them. -
There is no such thing as a weapon "silencer" they are called suppressors

Armor peircing rounds have enough power to penetrate armor but only once, because of that the bullet can go through the first layer to get to the interior of the vehicle but it doestnt have the power to penetrate a second layer. once inside the bullet will most likely (not deffinetly) ricochet around the interior of the vehicle untill someting manages to stop it. Rubber bullets wouldnt even scratch a light armored vehicle. I have not tried it in arma. -

That whole post was about the real version of the as50 not the ingame one. one bullet from an as50 would be enough to stop a light armored vehicle because the bullet punches through the armor and bounces around inside killing the occupants. This is not true in the game of course but like i said that post had very little to do with the in game weapon. -

since i know many people are thinking it il say it the absolute only way in hell id ever pick up a golden one, or one that wasnt black or camo is if it was the very first gun i found wich isnt likely. Brightly colored weapons would stand out and make you easier to spot. but thats me some people like novelty things. weapon attachments are confirmed. -

The as50 was originaly designed for US seal teams to use as a portable anti vehicle weapon. Considering what it is, its actually fairly light. Its meant to be carried in just a couple of pieces by 1-2 men and then assembled in the field when necessary but assembly is said to take less than a minute with 1 or 2 small tools. Yes it is overpowered for a game but arma wanted it to mimic its real world counterpart. which is very powerful with almost no drawbacks. the scope of the ksvk is a pso scope just like the svd. theyre great if you know how to use them. I would have to say no to this. My reasons are as follows: 1.would the reputation be held by the player or the character i.e if that player died would he still have the same reputation when he spawned? If yes then your breaking the immersion, if no then i dont really see the point because then the fresh spawned player is registered as a survivor when hes really a bandit (problem also exists with current humanity system). 2. Any clue left behind by someone who was killed would need to be very descriptive in order to actually identify anyone, seeing as it would probobly be the last thing he/she did, the not/clue they left would most likely only be descriptive enough to tell the gender of their killer. 3. I dont like the idea of being able to look at someone and instantly know things about there past, yes you could come to certain conclusions based on their attire but looks can be very decieving. you simply cant just look at someone and know their intentions. 4. Because of the nature of Dayz, no organized settlements/comunities, and the only living people left (i know there not zombies but just roll with it, its easier) being us, the players, whom have limited contact with one another, the reputation of people would hardly spread if at all by word of mouth. 4. IMO, it would take the suspense of meeting other players away since you would already know about what kind of person he/she is. lastly i know i can come across as an asshole at times, Its not intentional and i dont mean to offend. this is just my 2 cents.

I actually wondered if range was a factor after the fact lol Arma doesnt incorporate them because HP rounds arent used by any military that is in accordance with the geneva convention , they deemed it inhumane or some stupid shit like that. However i do believe they should be in the game hopfully in SA.

events like this have been discussed a lot, personaly i dont like the idea. I admit its awsome watching helicopter and plane (in wastland) crashes but i think i would like to see plane crashes spawned in like helicopter crashes are now but more rare.

I would much rather see down sides to using the weapons than removing them. If they ever do decide to remove them i wouldnt be too bothered as long as there was still some 1 hit kill snipers in the game. I wouldnt care about zeroing as long as it kills. like a lot of people have said KSVK fits nicely. I would still rather not see them go though. -
Personaly i hate the humaity system primarily because of the skins. If it was simply a passive skill type thing it wouldnt bother me AS much. Edit: i still wouldnt like it though

Suggestion for Crossbow sights (and explosive arrows)

The crossbow is being redone for the SA, and im certain it will have optics. Drop will undouptedly be calculated into its mechanics as for explosive arrows/bolts, there really not as easy as most people think, a lot of people have tried. (it can be done) also tying a hand grenade to an arrow/bolt wouldnt work because theres no way to pull the pin. You could tie a string around the pin so the pin was pulled out when the arrow/bolt was fired but that would most likely pull the arrow/bolt off course and it wouldnt hit anything, not to mention the wieght problems you would have. Also explosive bolts/arrows have been brought up before, they were shot down (i think). Pretty sure this is mainly about the optic and theyve already said it will have some sort of sight -

If they market it most people who buy it (whom did not play the mod) would likely complain because its "too hard" since most people are so used to other games. i dont know much about marketing so i dont know how they could say that its a harcore game not for your typical modern gamer who obsesses over CoD. Although i do play a lot of PS2 and thats a very arcadish shooter...no shame in being wrong lol Edit: sometimes i swear im dyslexic with all my typos -

like i said i think storing items that way you still have them when you die defeats the purpose of perma-death. Plus warz did it so IMO that alone is enough to steer clear of it lol -

The only way i would ever consider supporting a "safe zone" is if there was literally nothing there, it could just be a place for players to go and socialise, no loot, no zombies, no "storing items" ( this defeats the purpose of perma-death). Losing your gear when you die forces you to learn from mistakes and become a better player. -
Not suprising that they dont take any of that in effect. TBH i dont think they will for SA either but i hope they do, i havnt heard anything about it so i dont really know. That would be a lot to work out though with all the variables.

you give beans to posts that you like. I do kind of like the mental health idea but i think it should have a more passive effect, kind of like how warmth, food/drink, systems work. instead of actually freaking out you would just get less accurate or something like that. then again it could easily become one of those things that everyone hates because its not fun its just a nuisence. Also wouldnt the person be more likely to go crazy the longer they were alive, realisiticly? of course the other way is better for balance I dont think its that similar Edit:Gews is a not so nice person lol -
its a great idea, like gews said it is something thats hard to replicate, i do like the ones in the video as demonstration, personaly id like to see the vehicles not slow down as much just because they are off road. yea the car loses traction but normaly holds the mojority of its speed, you just have less control. :beans: for you
