Is there any way to get high res textures without buying DCLs? Would be possible to just download them in form of few files? - Excuse my ignorance, I have no idea about textures in games. :)

I thought DayZ was using fixed view distance, no? Try it out in regular arma II and you will see huge jump in fps but as far as GPU usage go its probably poorly coded game.

So rockets "log magic" is not to be trusted? Instead let's take word of hacker who presents no proof at all... We all know there is a lot of hackers out there (like post creator) but your "research" is wall of text with nothing to back it up.

Good point. Calling them hackers is insulting to people who are real hackers. Those in-game, abused in real life kids are nothing more than cheaters.

Im being killed by hackers constantly, whenever I go to bigger city I get killed, through the wall, fully automated weapons with silencer on spawn or simply by falling from the sky along with rest of the server. I understand a lot of you are willing to put up with it and thats great - after all dayz is a great little project. Reason I made this post is because someone said that this issue doesnt affect "core community", true or not it affect people who trying to start playing this game. I hate to put dayz away but I cant put up with this bull anymore, I quit, a lot of people did and even more newcomers will unless this is addressed one or another way.

Yeah, I just uninstalled dayz commander. Got killed by the guy with weapon presented on this video right out of spawn. He didnt bother to sneak between zombies either, instead he just ran around shooting everything. - yeah there is a chance that wasnt a cheater but on top of what I have already seen its more than safe to assume he is.

Im pretty sure each one of you experienced A LOT hackers in game. I play for 3-4 days and I met guy who shoot 10 zombies around him with 1 bullet, Mr, total noob that i killed who could not even hit me with full auto rifle - he had EVERY tool that you would want have, then I got killed through the concrete wall. I never even thought about logging out when about to die - that would kill all thrill I'm having from pvp ;)

I'm new to the game but I'm already starting to have bad habit. I kill everybody who is armed. I feel like if I won't do it then he will... and I have some nice gear - map, gps, nv, binoculars and other stuff so I'm scared to lose it to bullet in my back. I don't run into many players but when I do they are hostile and most of the time open fire first while I hold them at gun point - but what would you do if somebody was pointing gun at you...;) Should I build more trust to people or everybody is out there to get me and I'm doing the right thing?
