I used to be a total bandit. Shoot on sight! Only did that for a while because I had all the gear I could ever want, and got bored of dayz. There is only so much you can do. Nowadays I play as a hero/medic. And let me tell you it isn't easy. When ever someone sees me they shoot on sight. It's like having the hero skin gives people a target to aim for. I can hardly find people who don't try to kill me.

True but if you are in a hot area like the airfield, or any main town, all you think about is getting in and out really fast. Not sitting around and waiting to be shot at. I only think It would be annoying because if I ever kill someone I run there and get in and out as fast as possible. But I like the idea since there is no practical use for a toolbox. I think it would be cool If you could plant the grenade on the body instead of it just being there. Just my opinions thought :)

Sounds like a neat idea but I think it would just end up being really annoying. You could always just set up your own trap, like a satchel charge and a tent/vehicle and bait it. When some unlucky guy comes across it blow him away :)

Yeah caps lock is the push to talk, if the mic appears then you are doing it right.

Maybe they just aren't friendly people. And make sure it's on direct communications not group, or anything else. A lot of the time I talk to people to let them know I'm a friendly but sometimes they just don't say anything.

I always play with all settings just about maxed. I can't play with them any lower, it just doesn't look right :)

So I purchased a private hive off HFB and after numerous hours I was finally able to connect. The server doesn't show up in the server browser because under type it says coop instead of DayZ. Can anyone shed some light on this because I am completely out of idead, and have not heard back from the support ticket yet. Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

The only legit m24 is the standard m24. The m24 desert is hacked in the game. You might want to check the wiki out yourself before posting.

Yes it is hacked. I got one off a bandit body once and used it for a while until I found out it was in fact a hacked weapon. I would drop it just to be safe.

So I see all these servers with 50+ vehicles I am completely clueless how to do this I've looked for a few hours but can't find anything. I have a private hive through hfb servers and they aren't any help. Can someone please help me out and tell me what to edit, or where to find it. Any help is appreciated. Edit; the server has a feature that shows what vehicles are spawned, it says there are on 18 vehicles on the map, and nothing even interesting, only a few cars and trucks.

I just made a private server and would like to ask for a bit of help. How do you get more vehicles to spawn, I cannot find out anywhere, and would really appreciate if someone could help me out. -

some damn hacker killed me and my friend about 40 mins ago. Hackers in this game are annoying like you cannot believe!

Yesterday I got into my helicopter to move to a new location and when I pressed Q to take off I got teleported to Cherno along with every other vehicle on the server. I know it wasn't a hacker because I was the only person on the server at the time. I figured it was a glitch so I did a manual restart to return all the vehicles to their previous positions before they got teleported. After the server restarted all the vehicles disappeared, I assume they went back to their previous locations, as the two at my camp did, so I think all is well. Just a random glitch that happened.

So in my camp we have a total of 3 vehicles, a V3S Civ, a UAZ, and the Huey. After each server restart they all seem to lose the amount of fuel they had when they were saved. It is a little annoying because going from my camp to the nearest fuel station is a fairly long journey, and filling the Huey to fly around takes too long. Having to do this every server restart is impossible. Please post here is you are having the same problem, or have any advice.

I don't really have a group but just a friend or two I regularly play with. I would be happy to join with someone, or someone can join with us. I should be buying a new server in a day or two when mine expires to give it a fresh start. Send me a message if anyone is interested.

I have a legit heli on my server. If you ever want a ride PM me :) It was found on skalisty island, it needed a ton of work, and fuel to get it running. -
Most hackers in DayZ either kill people with godmode on, or they mess with people. They will teleport you out of the map, kill you etc. They can be a real pain in the ass.

I just happen to have about 2-5 mags. my friend used to have a m249 but unfortunately when he put it inside our v3s it didn't save it. Let me see how many I have exactly. I would love a m14 though, I haven't been able to find one in forever. -
Question Regarding Server Restarts & Vehicles?

I'm not sure what happened, but I can say from experience that with the newest build the vehicles seem to be working correctly on my server, except for keeping fuel. But they are saving.
