  1. I hope so... Do you think I really care what did you view? Your posts make no sense, just did a quick research on them.
  2. Then what? You're taking your beans back? [x2]
  3. You could hit your face harder... Death Dealer Member Since 14 Feb 2013 Here's the guy who knows everything about DayZ  Wait, what?
  4. Don't make me tell what's the real reason of me getting out of this thread  joe_mcentire Member Since 15 Jan 2013 You know nothing about DayZ at the moment of standalone announcement.
  5. They said it, do some research on gamespot, IGN and so on. I'm out of this thread to prevent "release date wars".
  6. BUT THEY SHOULDN'T have told us that it's going to be released before CHRISTMAS! It was like "we should have a release before Christmas" Dean said, not port to a new engine! Obviously it takes time, but give us a release date like other games have, doesn't this look stupid at all? Be it 2014 or 2015, take a look at Black Mesa Source! It was developed for 5 or 6 years if not more, and see what have they done during all these years...

Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

Not really bad for pretty playable FPS...
  8. Sometimes it makes me think that the Dev team isn't capable to fix a bug or something like that, I mean, why not expand the team or look forward to another animation designer or game engineer? Why the textures and models are looking pretty good ATM, but the engine itself looks weird and bugged, you get what I mean?

    Dedicated graphics card

You're not going to run BF4 on high settings with HD 6670. Go for HD 6970 instead.
  10. And all these expressions like "we are working on it" or "we're doing that from scratch" really make me a bit disappointed. Even the mod zombies are better than the standalone ones IMHO. I'm still going to buy the standalone however it would be, but it really has something similar to War Z in it.

    Dedicated graphics card

Did you watch your motherboard specs? It has 1 PCI-E x16 slot and 3 PCI-E x1 slots (if I remember correctly), so you can obviously stick in a dedicated GPU into that slot (depending on the interface). While browsing an internet shop, you may see let's say Sapphire HD 6670 DDR3 and Sapphire HD 6670 GDDR5. You're going to buy the GDDR5 version, because it has a better memory interface and is MUCH better for gaming. Also keep an eye for GPUs which are more than 128 bit. P.S. To get this clean, you will switch between the integrated and the dedicated GPUs using the ATI Catalyst CC, like I switch them on my laptop (do some research on this).
  12. The "it's just an alpha" answer doesn't make me calm. Remember that it had to be released before Christmas, then it had to be released in March, now it has to be released THIS MONTH, but it's bugged as hell! I'm still keeping my opinion for the standalone at the moment, because I'm a realist and I believe only what I see.

    Dedicated graphics card

You can get it, as long as its memory interface is GDDR5, not less. Still, I'd go for a HD 7750 or higher. Also plan to get a new PSU to 500W or even 600W. Look for a HD 6850 as well, you can find them cheap on amazon or ebay.
  14. The screenshots look beast, but the gameplay looks horrible, for some reason...
  15. Agreed, looks like a thread on forums made by a kid with annoying fonts and colours. EDIT: Seriously guys, things are really bad with the standalone ATM, don't expect to get your hands on it this month or the next one...
  16. IMHO, it's still bugged as hell. I'm afraid we won't get our hands on it this summer.
  17. Hello guys! Since August till yesterday, I've been playing the DayZ mod on my Lenovo G570 laptop on the lowest settings with under 10 FPS in the woods, around 15 FPS in the cities, and up to 20 FPS in general. My specs: Lenovo G570 Laptop; Lenovo 20079 Motherboard CPU: Intel Core i3-2330M, 2200 MHz (22 x 100) (QUAD-CORE) GPU: Mobile Intel HD Graphics 3000; AMD Radeon HD 6370M [DUAL-GPU @ 2GB] RAM: 4,00GB DDR3 HDD: Western Digital 500GB SATA-II SYSTEM: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate x86 6.1.7601.17460 MONITOR: AU Optronics B156XW02 V2[15.6" LCD] All I did was THIS: http://pastebin.com/F7Q8Ne2i Sounds CRAZY! But setting the "post-processing" from "off" to "low" and adding FXAA from the config file gave me a serious FPS boost, now I'm not having less than 20 FPS in the woods, and playing on 40 FPS and more in general! I strongly recommend this for you guys, have fun! EDIT: Also here's a video I made recently that proves my laptop is running Crysis 3 BETA (yes, Crysis 3!) on these specs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ap_2EbkxXfc
  18. This worked for ArmA III as well.

DayZ at E3? What time and where to watch?

Jackfrags or someone else was going to E3, I bet they will bring footage from there on youtube, so I'll keep waiting.

    Bohemia sales

Ooooh, and I wanted to buy ArmA 3, what a shame. I have almost all ArmA 2 DLC's on disks but I'm still waiting for some sales on ArmA 3...

Which settings do I need to change? HELP

Not really, my screen resolution is 1366x768 but I'm always lowering to 1024x768 because it's giving me more frames but keeps the screen full. Try that out.

    PC upgrade advice

Then pay $600 or more for GTX 680 or whatever, is that worth the money?

Which settings do I need to change? HELP

That's a really weak CPU for your graphics card, try upgrading it. But lower your resolution a bit.

    PC upgrade advice

No, it's not worth upgrading. This is enough. If you want to max out other games with decent framerates look on a new GPU. I suggest considering the HD 7970.
