Hamplaser, you are giving minimal information. Do you know your key bindings, also the WASD movement of many first person shooters on a PC? Z = prone, X = crouch, C = upright. Perhaps you can reset your controls to the defaults. Are you using a keyboard or just a large button with a "Z" on it? More info please.

I'm not going to say hackers, but I did suddenly see someone leap off the hospital roof, and continue running, right through the buildings I'm looking at. Didn't die, didn't get stopped by the walls. Weird. So I started the recorder. In less that 30 seconds I died. No shot, no bleeding, didn't go unconscious. I was healthy, energized and hydrated. A bit disappointing and kind of B.S. tasting. Yo we need our tents like soon. I have some pristine scopes that I do not have the hardware for. If I find more than one can opener I'd like to stash it. But the sight I got for an fnx is exciting, but with no gun or magazine, I just lug it around. PU Scope also. If I go on a rescue mission, it would be nice to store med kits. Are tents coming soon?

Chat would be a good feature for the forums, etc. I don't know where that is though. Nevertheless, I got my splint to Tsquire3 and did my first rescue mission so that was pretty neat.

I started the recorder because I had witnessed some strange behavior. There were only 4 available hardcore servers and it was my hardcore (aka no 3rd person) character who died. I wonder if the hardcore servers are less monitored. I did see some battle eye permanent bans when trying to get to my body. Didn't get there though.

Give me 30 minutes. I have a splint and will run to the boat. Choose a server and let me know what it is. Monitor this line.

I play as a girl because she's cute. Before I would wear a motorcycle helmet with a mask and it was goofy, so now I'm sporting a cowboy hat and aviator shades, with my sawed off shotgun I just look stunning. Now if I can only find matching boots.

It's fun to try out different clothing, camo is fun and all, but with so many choices why not be a fashion plate? We could even organize a DayZ fashion show.

Those are good suggestions and sound like fun. I would like to make a fort out of couch cushions and set up books as dominos and knock them over.

I like this mini-games sports idea a lot. A whole lot. What about baseball? We already have the bats. The zombies already play tag, but they play rough and are always "it".

Last night I was reasonably equipped and finally getting to the NE airfield. With the hangars barely in sight, I went prone and logged out. This morning, I fired up DayZ and my character had nothing in the preview, and when I logged into a server I was a new spawn with a flashlight. So what the heck happened? Did I sit up when I logged out and got sniped? I cannot even tell. No zombies nearby, on solid ground, not sick or anything. I had a partial map and a splitting axe, food and drinks, a defrib unit, no gun though, and it took days to get near the hangars. The spawn tables are very stingy now so just getting enough food to leave a city is a challenge, and after some 20 hours I did not find one gun but a few cleaning kits and ammo. I'm kind of frustrated.

Not at all. I respect and love women. That I expected a similar response apparently cost my life. I have killed no one in the SA, but encountered a few other players. Killed twice, hello once. Killing players in DayZ seems so boring to me. I get the medic clan, and think I may join them. The paucity of spawns and the tenacity of the zeds are supposed to prompt us to cooperation. Sadly, there is a derth of brotherhood, and therein lies my angst. Nevertheless I will fight the good fight and assist. People invest emotions in this game, I see. Well, I have my reasons, and each one was vetted, and each one is just.

Also, playing as a girl and not wearing pants is apparently no defense. When can we remove our undies?

Are the effects implemented? How does it affect cargo pants? What are gloves for? (Thermal only? Itty bit of armor?) How about footwear, does it matter at all? Speed? Armor? Are boots better offroad? Thanks!

Just guessing here but I try to see the bright side of things. By the time it's ported to consoles you will be old enough to play it. :)

Thanks for posting the bug link, SmashT. I understand I paid to be an alpha tester and file bugs/vote bugs to help this game out, and that's how I see it. Sure, gearing up is kinda fun but takes ages and then what do you do? There aren't enough features to do much crafting, etc, so I just shoot zombies and get smoked occasionally. I did manage to heal up after gorging on food and water, man that was tedious.

As someone who had the following happen: Ran around tent city near NWAF trying to loot a magpul that is supposed to increase accuracy.See a survivor! Try to get near him, say "friendly" into mic. He disappeared!See another survivor, get worried.1 second later:You are dead. clean your wounds? I just use rags, is that not enough?
