If I can play Combined Ops with no problems on high settings I'm sure a lot of PCs can. Check out: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com it will tell you if your PC can run it with the recommend settings, minimum, or not at all. Hope this helps :)

I'm only in my 20s, but my first system was a Sega Genesis, but over the years I've collected systems from the 80s. I'm also not a middle aged man lol, but I felt like adding to the topic >.<

What's so bad about consoles? I like to play some games on a PC, but then other games I would rather be playing on a console. If you still have it on PC I don't see the reason to complain. Plus, they would reach a bigger market by going to console. The more money they make, the more platforms it is playable, means the more likely they will be able to make the game better. Possibly even make more games that people can enjoy aside from DayZ.

I'm having a hard time determining if you're trolling or not, but my spidey sense tells me yes.

It usually isn't a good idea to ask people for help as to where to place your tent lol. My only advice is to put a tent in a really dense pine tree forest inside a tree. You can see the major pine forests on the in game map. Other than that it's all up to you.

If there was no PvP then you would reach so called "end game" where you have everything you ever wanted and nothing else to do except kill zeds. PvP adds the excitement of always being cautious not just of zeds, (which in time everyone learns how to avoid/lose) but of getting sniped from 500+ meters away as you're trying so desperately to get your precious beans. Plus, people would exploit the system like they always do; play on non-PvP until they get high end gear then go on PvP and kill people. If you want a non PvP zombie game play Dead Island or something...

My tent killed me once. At least I know I have a good security system now.

I picked AKM just because it would be hilarious to start out with that, but I like spawning in with no weapon and working my way up. I will say though if I got spawn killed by someone running along the coast with a hatchet that said they were friendly (which has happened) I would love to come back into game with an AKM on full auto and shoot 'em in the dome.

I'm not sure about 1.7.2.6, but in 1.7.2.5 the items only saved if you put everything you wanted in it within the first minute or so of laying it down. It didn't matter if you saved it or not the tent automatically saved itself. Then, every server restart the items were all there again. Currently on our private server though you have to set the tent up then wait for a server restart before you can place any items in the tent, but luckily it doesn't dupe after that. I'm just not sure which version of DayZ we're using.

I use to avoid people at all costs on every server and I remember how my heart would pound if I saw someone in the middle of nowhere. I would go prone and hope they didn't seem me. A million thoughts would go through my head wondering if they were friendly because they're up North with a survivor skin. I never had to commit a single murder, luckily. Now my clan has their own private server with different squads. All other squads are you enemy. Now, I've never felt more inclined to PvP knowing it's just my clan members and it's all in good fun, but underneath I still feel a little "evil" trying to go out of my way and kill them all hahaha. I did get a bandit kill once. Three of us were in Elektro's fire station. Someone spawned in. I think he was probably terrified to see 3 people there and just started firing. He shot and killed two of us. I turned and took him out with the SAW. My hands were still shaking 5 minutes later.

Anything with the word Mountain in it seems to be cursed on DayZ. "Green Mountain" "Mountain Dew". Never drink the Mountain Dew!

For the amount of males who play as females in game greatly out ways the number of females who do play like myself. Some of the younger boys do sound like girls that's why I get mistaken for one sometimes lol, but I wouldn't put it past girls to hack in a weapon.

Being a woman and having younger kids in the clan gets confusing. We all sound the same and then I get a 15yr old asking me if I'm really a girl. It's like XboxLive all over again.

I would probably feel more comfortable with an assault rifle. As far as role I wouldn't mind being a scout or looter of some sort. Humanity(bandit/survivor/hero): Survivor I know I don't have much in-game experience, but I love playing the game and really want a group of friends to raid and do operations with. I'm tired of spawning and getting shot instantly. I've been able to make it into cities I just don't know which buildings to go in and loot. Hope to hear back from you :)
