That's one of the main problems I have as well, but after a little bit of fiddling around I got all the keys set to work.

I knew about ArmA II before DayZ, but I never had any interest in it. I like some features, but the ultra-realism just isn't appealing to me. It's not my type of play style, but if I wanted to try out the Multiplayer I don't see why it would get everyone mad about it. I mean, I could of randomly decided to try out ArmA because I was bored and didn't know about DayZ. Do they just assume all newbies are DayZ? Plus, DayZ added a lot to ArmA II's sales. If a person wanted to take the time to learn ArmA II aside from DayZ knowing they are completely different they should quit being hipsters. Their mentality: "I PLAYED ARMA II BEFORE DAYZ. I'M COOLER AND MORE HIP THAN YOU. I'M TACTICAL!" My Mentality: "Hmm maybe I'll try it out, why waste the $30 for nothing." End result: Okay, I'll just go back to my noobish ways and play DayZ. At least I have more fun trying to learn that game. Maybe try some other mods.

I've never done it while in legit combat, but I do it all the time when I suspect hacking is going on. Hell, one of my clan mates Alt+F4ed on us the other day because it was two against one. Still gave him hell for it especially since we're on a private server. I was tempted to just camp the scene of the crime.

I take payment in the form of beans.

Our clan placed tents in a building's first floor. They worked fine.

Aside from the topic at hand I have a story about an Alt+F4 guy. I was at NWAF with a friend in the middle of the night. Luckily, we both had NVGs. I had a M4A3 CCO. We came up to the northern barracks. I look inside and see a guy named SNiPeR~~~ something with a lot of fancy little characters wearing a ghillie. I didn't ask questions. I fired off about half a mag into him. Guy went down. He Alt+F4ed into another server and died. But yeah you won't be able to make a list because they can easily change their in-game names.

Yes, no rules. Certain game mechanics aid avoiding this, but still make it enjoyable to play.

Hacker. Yep there are a lot of tools that people use that let's you take control of another player. Or it was just your friend trolling you :P

I Alt+F4 instantly when I suspect hacking. It's the only way to avoid it.

Now we're just getting into a Fanboy situation with this whole topic. Example: BF3>COD or COD>BF3 This community is "sometimes" a little more mature than that...

It objected to me touching it. Then, the lawsuit came.

Even though DayZ is a Mod for ArmA II they are completely different play styles. One is not better than the other; it's all about preference. That's why DayZ has their own community aside from ArmA. Play what you want. Don't act like one is superior. EDIT: I do suggest to try out the armory and fly a heli before you ever try it in DayZ though lol
