Standalone should be hacker free or at least we all hope so : ) Rocket said the hacker issue is #2 on the list of importance behind bugs of course so that is a good thing. But as in life nothing is ever perfect so we'll just have to see. Any new content will be welcomed at least by me, reading some of his and others ideas it sounds like its going to be really great!

So I Alt- Tabbed out to check the map for deer stand spawns, I come back in to "You are Dead". Most likely a hacker due to the fact i was in the middle of nowhere under a shrub in a ghillie. Has this happened to you? Kinda sucks not knowing what happened or who killed you. If it was a player than Beans to you and your good eyes :)

There really is no point in playing this game anymore with the hacking issue. I mean since the artifacts fix there are thousands more hackers running rampant it seems. Spending 4 hours gearing up to just be dropped from the sky is pointless, can't do it any longer. The only thing i do now is log on run to Elektro or Cherno and find a lee or AK and start shooting everyone, 30 min later log. There is no "SURVIVAL" anymore its to the point that there is no point. I know there is nothing that can be done and that's why the player base has dropped off im sure. I used to like to come to the forums and read people's adventures and such but all you see anymore is "Hacker on server ....." I think last night was it for me, looking back i mean what did i accomplish "Nothing" in 4 hrs of playing killed by hackers 3 different times. SO the hackers have WON cya in standalone :)

I really love the game it's one of the BEST.. Maybe i've played too much as of late and just getting bad servers. It's demoralizing how the last few dayz/weekz have gone and i'm not going to download a hack program and start ruining other peoples times. So maybe a break is what I need and just embrace the hackers as part of the game, i dunno! Sad thing is I cant remember last time I died to a real player shooting. I've tried private Hives and its the same thing a few hours of game play and "BAM" insta dead. So now what do I do?? Spend time with my girlfriend... ugghhh lol. My group quit a month ago I was all that was left of a 6 man team, kinda sad. But all in all still a great game and will continue to support Dayz and Rockets Team. Thanks Guys!

Can't beat them might as well joinem

So what can be done if anything to combat snipers just laying outside of loot areas sniping everyone and anyone. I can never find where the shots are coming from before dieing. A lot of people don't see the point in running for hours when as soon as you get to a good loot area a sniper one shot kills you. This is happening so much it doesn't surprise me people turn to hacking. I don't see anything that I can do differently other than server hop to low pop servers and loot them that way, which i have not done yet. Too much time is wasted and I think i'm done even trying to loot these areas on populated servers. Any ideas??? I mean i've tried everything, stealthy doesn't work dusk doesn't work i'm at the end of my rope... Like my title says there everywhere and nowhere! Any suggestions on how you get around this problem would be appreciated, Thank You!

Thank you for the ideas, maybe I've just had bad luck as of late, just seems all i get done is run to good loot spot and bam sniped. Better luck tomorrow i guess, thanks. As for the L85 never even seen one yet, I'll keep a look out for one of those.

"Hack the Planet" Why get mad when you get killed or lose your stuff to Hackers... Its part of the game at this point! I stopped caring 1000 hacker deaths ago... It is what it is not going to change. It makes it that much more fun logging on, you really never know if anything you've done will be there the next day, smile and get back to surviving.

Last night a hacker was talking to my father and I and was very nice... Then another hacker poofed in and they started shooting it out. We ran for cover but as we laid there and watched the fire fight we insta died. My father doesn't swear and out of nowhere over my mic I hear " You C*ck Sucker". I nearly died laughing so hard as my father is not used to dieing apparently. I have had such great adventures with my dad it really is amazing. I work for him and everyday after Dayz he'll come in and say " Ohh man you shoulda seen this or seen that" He LOVES Dayz and it really has brought us closer just adventuring together. So whatever anyone thinks of this game or QQ's about DAYZ I for one say "Thank You Rocket and Team" your bringing families closer together man, Love IT.

I'm 31 and my dads 58... Dayz just brings the kid out of him. Just listening to him is soo funny. He'll be in a building and say "ohh god I hear footsteps" what do I do?? He's kinda slow to the pvp and usually gets killed but he keeps on trucking. Such a funny story he told me a min. ago, He got killed by 2 guys in full gear at the fire station and as he's bleeding out he hears over the mic a teenagers voice.. "Later Virgin". The smile on his face telling me the story and how he hasn't been a virgin for 40 years! We laughed so hard i'm still wiping the tears away.

Stay away from "fishy gear" if it looks too good to be true well it usually is then. I understand your frustration but you kinda put yourself in a bad position and it ended up biting you in the a**. Keep on keeping on man at least its only 24 hr ban

Good for you I made that decision also just for the fact I don't want to ruin DAYZ for myself. If i even think an item is hacked in or duped i pass it up. I want items people earned or that I earned not just "POOF" i have it all. Really doesn't matter what you do the hackers will just get it all back. But good for you for having the right moral judgement in that situation, Beans to you :)

Hmm, It's the way he feels why is that so bad??? He's tired of some of the issues in the game... Negative or positive "feedback" is always a good thing. He may be QQ'ing a little but that's his right and maybe "HES Right" and you are wrong... Let people express themselves how they see fit and not make shitty comments that might lose Rocket a customer.

I wonder how tired I would get if Zombies were chasing me... Reminds me of a professor I once had (African American) told us a story of how when he was in the military stationed in the "SOUTH" 5 red necks threatened his life outside a bar. He said he started RUNNING and didn't stop for 5 miles, he told us FEAR takes over and you'r body just moves, there's no time to be tired he said, Tired = Death. I'm guessing this applies to a Zombie Apoc. also. Side Note: Mr Simmons went back to the bar with 12 of his marine buddies.... Smiles at our class and ends the story!! Never would tell us what happened next...
