DayZ being what it is, you can be a bandit and your headwrap won't appear (at least on your screen; I'm not sure if other players can see it).

Yeah, it was a bit overpowered, but I think thermal should be reintroduced, maybe as a binocular rather than mounted on a gun (just to give players some chance against snipers).

Shooting on sight is a legitimate play style, and it is popular because it is the only play style that can make you theoretically impossible to be killed legitimately. You got killed, start over, play on.

I've been a hero for a while, but now I'm starting to fall back into survivor/banditry because of killing in self defense.

That's really interesting, I always thought that it was a fictional world. That would be a cool site to host the Hunger Games, DayZ style.

9/10, best game mod I've ever played. Despite hackers, glitches, and all, this mod has kept me entertained for hours. I will be buying the standalone immediately.

The shoot-on-sight bandit is the safest play style. Its also the only play style that theoretically cannot fail by any legitimate means. Myself, I switch between the bandit-survivor skin as I kill people in self defense or because they have the bandit skin.

Be honest, are you one of the people who leaves the server the moment it starts getting dark?

I don't like hill snipers because they don't contribute anything to the game. They kill for the sake of killing, not giving two fucks about what you're doing or that they didn't have any reason to shoot you. If players want to play a 2D sniping minigame rather than doing something productive - whether in the game or reality - that's fine by me, but who is really losing?

Yeah, I just can't for the life of me figure out how to get that funny yellow gun we spawn with to work...

Finally, others that agree with me; the tyrannosaurus is a logical and realistic addition to the game. We should replace dogs with the tyrannosaurus.

I'm sorry, but this is just ridiculous. You press a button and dozens of items disappear? At least give people a chance to recover loot. If you really want to hide a body, you should have an entrenching tool and five spare minutes.

I bought ArmA for DayZ, but now I realize how stupid that was. ArmA is a great game and I am enjoying playing the campaigns, ACE mod, and more. After standalone is released I am still going to be playing regular ArmA II.

It really isn't anything new, every game has those players that are usually pretty slow intellectually and can't thing of anything better to do with their time than say, snipe unarmed players at the Balota airfield.

I'm not sure of it being done intentionally, but I know that if you are on an extremely laggy server and die, you can respawn exactly where you died with all of your loot and full blood.

A lot of homeowners or vehicle owners have pistols. I find it odd that I go into homes and find hunting rifles more often than Makarovs. I always imagined finding rape pistols in standalone. :D
