Sniper rifles aren't defined by whether or not they have a scope.

It has been a long time since I sneaked my way around the infected. For me, they are just there and occasionally help me find other players. And when I'm actually fighting other players, they are just there to piss me off.

All snipers seem to have some deep hatred for thermals. Understand this: there is only one legitimate thermal weapon in the game that can only be found at helicopter crash sites RARELY. The thermal AS50 does not count since it is hacked in. In addition, there needs to be some way to root out a sniper decked in ghillie. Thermal scopes are a realistic option. As for sniper rifles having increased damage, it makes sense (though shouldn't the M24 do more damage than the SVD?).

I just found two Humvees in the town of Faruz Abad in Takistan, right by the four barracks'. There is also a green car and a destroyed gas truck. The two humvees had lots of loot including my current weapon, the FN FAL. This is my first time playing. Are these legitimate?

Thermals are right to be in the game. Hacked AS50s don't mean anything.

My past three (EDIT: Make that four D:) characters have been killed via hacker. I really haven't seen it getting any better, but I can't put down the game...

People always post some shit about carebears and loving and an end to war, and to you I say go away and die.

For myself, I've found probably around 40-50 helicopter crash sites. Among those that were unlooted I have almost always found an L86. Only a select few have actually had sniper rifles (the first AS50 I found naturally spawning at a helicopter crash site was at Lingor Island) or FN FALs.

So he found an AKM in the apartment building?

It sounds hacked in, but I know that there is a boat shed on the largest of the Otmel islands. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?

WHAT IS THIS? When people are shooting, I can sometimes hear little "clicks" going off. It is not the sound of bullets hitting nearby, its different. It never happens when I'm shooting. What is it and why?

Completely legitimate question. I'm curious if you guys leave the coast anymore. Myself, I have completely stopped sneaking around zombies and just plunge into Cherno or Elektro. Why leave when everything I need is there? So; do you guys leave the coast?

There I was. The southern barracks. I aimed my gun at the door, took a few shots, just to be sure it was safe. The door was seemingly dead. When I opened it... I was wrong.

The "one-hit-zombie" is often mistaken for a hacker respawning you. If you die, and your blood remains at whatever it was, and your leg breaks, this means you were respawned. Hackers often do it to avoid danger/kill people annoying them.

I have no sympathy for you and I'm glad you feel bad about it. It is good to see that you have learned your lesson though. If you buy standalone, stick with that no-hacking policy.

The temperature meter has always been pretty useless. I've been walking through the woods in broad daylight and it starts flashing.

I was shot by an AS50 while trying to kill snipers in Cherno. Naturally, I took off my headset and threw it on the floor, logged off, cooled down for half an hour and started again. I found myself back on top of the same building as before, with 12,000 blood, unconscious and bleeding. This has happened multiple times. I'm pretty sure that servers that are laggy enough take a while to actually register that you died and if you leave before that happens, you can respawn again.

I think the pistol-only-no-primary-weapon age should last longer. A civilian would sooner have a pistol in his or her home rather than a Lee Enfield battle rifle. However, thermal weapons should be present somehow in the game. Snipers hidden in the brush need to be found somehow. Maybe some kind of thermal goggle that is just as rare as the regular night vision goggle? One extremely rare gun with a thermal scope?

The question is, can we drink our own piss?

I wish I had recorded it, but I was in Elektro this evening at the hospital when I heard distantly through my headphones these words: "HOLY FUCK! MOUNTAIN FUCKING DEW! FUCK YEAH" About two minutes later, I heard this from the same person: "I FOUND MOUNTAIN DEW BITCHES" I was on the server US 1392. Did anyone else hear this? :P
