    I think the backpack should be lootable. Maybe you can disarm the guy (he keeps his weapon but he can not use it for a period of time or something like that.

    Silencer for 1-3 shots

    Hi I have an idea for some kind to mechanic. I don't know if it's possible with the actual engine. Maybe some of you know this fact may r some of you have never heared of it. You can actually use a plastic bottle on a gun as some kind of one way silencer. (like in the movie shooter). I think it would be nice if u can pick up plastic bottles and use it as a silencer for 1-3shots. Then the bottle would disappear. Plz comment :)

    Well I think there is one point why people will use this technic. When you can take out someone silently it's a huge advantage. @koze My goal in this game is to survive. My actual character lives since 9 days and has a lot of best in slot items. I have a nvg, a rangefinder, a gps etc etc. my current weapons are mk 48 mod 0, a dmr and a m107 and a g17. All I need I To perfect gear are a ghillie, a m9 sd and L85a2 lws. I havnt killed anyone so far because I decided to play this game as realistic as possible and I think I would just kill for self defense because I have all the gear I need. I just observe other players a lot with my rangefinder from afar. Well this is my way to play and I think it's fun to do so. edit: found a ghilli yay

    I had an idea to reduce the lethal conflicts between players. I have seen a lot gunfights in dayz and I think a lot of them could be avoided by using non-lethal weapons. A lot of people are afraid to lose their gear and they would rather shoot than be sorry. To make the choise more attractive those weapons should be more quiet than standard weapons. My first idea is to use the underused shotguns. I have almost never seen people use shotguns. By implementing rubber bullets the shotguns would be usefull again. People might use them when they see some other players, because they would have the choise to kill or just to k.o. Other players. Some other ideas like to use the gun to perform a melee attack to knockdown people would work in close range. This attack would be absolute silent. By giving people the chance to operate complete silently some people will think of those tactics and maybe prefers them over using a loud gun. I'd love to hear some feedbacks thanks

    Thanks for the answers. Well, I still think that the lurking birds would be realistic because in rl those birds used to follow armies around when they where marching. But the point, that patients should be rewarded is also a good point. And also most of the snipers are the result of the dupping glitch is probably also true. I think I'll open a new post regarding the ideas of non-lethal weapons and melee attacks. Thanks guys
  7. I think some of you know this scenario: respawn at a beach near Electro and getting sniped by some random bandits sitting up in the hills. just to get some playerkills. We dont have a System that punishes bandits just camping to kill some Players Even tho they are no threat or have no loot. I think there should be something better and also more realistic than banditskins or Things like that . Im thinking about bird like ravens, crows or vultures that would fly over a camping bandit in expectation to get some fresh meat. The lower the humanity the more birds would fly over the camping bandit. And those birds would despawn when the bandit is on the move again and changes his position for more than 100 meters. In the new location the birds would spawn after 5 minutes. I think this would give away the position of a camper pretty well and make the people think, if it's worthing it to kill unarmed/newly spawned players. May be its also a good idea to designate some pvp zones like stary or nwairfield where those birds wouldnt spawn and where kills doesn't have an effect of humanity because everybody knows that those areas are generally kill or get killed areas. There are some more ideas I have: 1. Ad an melee ability or item to rifles. Something like a bajonett and make it pretty rare to find. 2. Add some ways to just knock out people. Something like a taser or ko gas or rubber rounds for shotguns. This would give players the option to choose if they want to kill a potential threat or just ko them. Just some ideas.
