I played this map for the very first time a few days ago with Zero knowledge about the map. Looting was poor, so I had but a macaroni handgun with 3 clips, a empty shotgun and a can of coke. After finding a map I set off to the nearest buildings and pass through a forest with many low trees and low visibility. I hear something behind me but dismiss it as a sound effect like the "Help me" in the background. It gets louder and I turn and see movement but it vanishes. I'm worried at this point and head a little more straight to my destination. Then I hear this unholy roar R I G H T - B E H I N D - M E. I run for dear life not daring to look back and I can hear something large on my heels. I make it to a industrial building (the tall intact one), climb to the roof and with shaky hands (IRL) I cover the only way up and wait. It doesn't follow me up but I hear it circling the building and more coming in the distance. So I'm stuck on the roof, near to starving, with the stopping power to take down a goat and not much else. When it quiets down I venture to the bottom floor to see what i can find to aid my situation. I see several shotgun shells and try to see if any match my shotgun. When I reach the last pile SUDDENLY..... a player shoots me. -_-" At least the blood sucker chasing me was now feasting on his brains as the camera pans away. Great mod of DayZ, but reading another thread the blood suckers could use use a tweak where they only cloak when they get agro on you.

It took me a few minutes to realize the flashgun doesn't work from your tool belt (whole UI/inventory being scrapped and redone in the standalone). If anyone doesn't know you right click to equip it then press L to turn on and off. If you have a handgun it'll place in your inventory and if it's full stuff will get deleted (5 slots).

I tired the flashlight <_< , it's like looking through a straw. Zombies mistake flairs for brains. Chemlights are ok but in a city I'd like to turn on and off my light source a lot and it's harder to do with these and you leave a trail. More/better light source options and "authentic" night time lighting conditions (with no light pollution) and might become just as fun as during the day.

That's cuz I'm sitting in a bush watching the OP make a fool of himself. I play DayZ like how I would assault a town in Battleground Europe (WWII Online). Basically use terrain as cover, when going through exposed areas pick the path that leaves me exposed to fire for the shortest time possible, hit vantage points on the way and don't draw attention to yourself. I also only shoot people who are in a position to kill me. The number of times I'm sneaking through a town and I hear gunfire as someone blazes their way through while I sit in a house camping the door or out the window. Also, your way isn't the way to play.
