    Startup options

    I think it will. >> http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma2:_Startup_Parameters#exThreads

Theres nothing to do in DayZ

DayZ obviously isn't a game for you. Like was said, play ArmA 2. You know, the game you bought to play this mod? They have a box of weapons there waiting for you when you spawn and you can pick yours from dozens of different ones. And you can parachute right where the action is, maybe even teleport, if theres an MHQ deployed near the AO. Or perhaps just play Ca.. ehh.. ..other games.

Middle age men who play Dayz

I have no idea what that thing in the picture is, but I remember playing Pong in my 'early days' in the 80's. But that thing had like 3 buttons, one of which was the on/off switch. :D

    Nothing's changed. I'm staying.

OP: You had my beans after I read the title. :D good post. And this is a good point with which I agree; (although it is a matter of taste) And what does that say about the 'industry' today..? An alpha mod riddled with problems and its still on the top. :)
  5. Sir Diealot

    Thats it, i QUIT

I believe the phrase in this context should be; "dont let the door kill you on your way out." Anyways, have some beans. :D
  6. Yup, it's bugged. (or intentional, who knows :) ) But change Options/Game options/DayZ UI to 'default' and you'll have working indicators. Just without the debug monitor.
  7. Sir Diealot

    1.7.2.6 buggy?

    yes. /(alpha)
  8. That's what I was gonna say, to the Letter. Beans. :D
  9. Sir Diealot

    Exactly how, do you update?

I'd like to add (besides DayZ Commander); If you have the chance, I'd recommend the torrent-download for the DayZ-patch, as the DZC download seems to take forever. (I'm currently in the process. Lots of load, I imagine. Should've just done it manually)

Yes, this is indeed a sad state of affairs. But one word to you, 'private hive'. Thats what you need. (That's what I needed). My first encounter on such a server; guy asks for help (broken legs so he needs morphine. on side chat, btw.). Me and one other guy respond, but I move to him as I'm closer. (in Cherno, btw) I find him, give him morphine, we exchange blood transfusions (i had 2 bags), we do some trading and head our separate ways. After this, my faith in humanity (and gamers) was somewhat restored. And yes, this has been discussed before. :D :edit: I'm not saying all ph-servers or encounters on them are like this, but the chances of finding one increase.
  11. A bit OT, but: When playing ArmA 2 (not DayZ), most of the bugs and 'clunkiness' of the UI that many complain about, dont even come to play. This is because for, example; you use rocks for cover, not something to climb on, you very rarely, if ever, need to go through doors (and never when proned) and in most cases you'll never have to use the UI (which I agree, is not the best, but you do get used to it) after the initial weapon switch, if even that. ArmA 2 is about tactics, positioning, awareness and teamwork (to name a few 'features'). Not that DayZ isnt any of that, but its additional features would require a more sophisticated platform, which is why we are getting the standalone, on a 'new' engine that fixes such things.

Should we remove barbed wire in the next update

Yes, if you don't plan to change their 'behaviour'. (or if they cause graphic glitches for example, not sure if they do) No, if: -zombies will not get through them, or atleast be slowed down -they dont break legs (bleeding maybe, % chance)
  13. 'Cause it is one of a kind. And most bugs dont bug me, cause they're avoidable. :D
