Eventually DayZ Standalone will have its private hive servers and it actually does atm, just like the Mods.The server admin can keep his/her server even if he doesn't follow the rules BECAUSE back in dayz beta servers who didn't follow the rules were just blacklisted, meaning it was a list of un-trusted servers in dayz but was still part of the Public hive, the admin having a "blacklisted" server would be a benefit for them because they wouldn't have to worry about most people joining their server.

False, you can Have a PVE server enforced by an Admin with kill feed. I played on a Epoch PVE server and it was fun as hell because we could test out how to build and put the server to its limits, PS know bandits would be hunted and killed by Admin due to the fact that it was stated in the Rules, which was shown every time there was an announcement. The last rule stating, if you kill someone you will first be hunted down and killed as warning, do it again character whip, and after that banned. The guy pays for his own server he makes the rules for his servers so don't give me that bullshit that DAYZ does not need a PVE aspect in the game.

i don't think it's that much of a desync, because i said before i died from drinking a soda on a server that literally restarted. its just a bug, i suggest not worrying about it and reporting it have the team look into it.

actually now you mention that, i dont think thats a hacker, its happened about 2 or 3 times now, and on the 3rd time i waited a couple of minutes to see what would happen, and nothing. i think that a server desync issue. like noone killed me or anything. so maybe its a hacker maybe its a server glitch but idk.

the only way is to guess their name and look at previous players via steam to see if maybe they have a VAC ban, also i suggest that Rocket put in Proximity Kill feed, or on the you are dead screen it said instead You where Killed by _Renji_ for example.

i am trying my hardest to not KOS but these fucking bandits man, earlier today i was in elecktro with a friend who had just started playing, we went to look for ammo for her pistol so she could defend her self. At the power station, i was downstairs doing look out making sure it was clear, than a guy with a Wolf Mask comes up i aimed my gun at him, he hailed raising his hand so i though he was just trying to be friendly, but something wasn't right, so i told my friend to come down and leave, as soon as we ran 40 feet, i turned around and the guy comes out shooting a pistol at us, He killed me but he ran out of ammo, he then ran to loot my body for the mosin i had and try to kill my friend, my friend than bashes his head in and killing him with a baseball bat. Lols were had after the bandit died to a baseball bat. Then i ran back to loot my body, and hide the bandit's body because he doesn't deserve to keep his stuff.
