being able to knock people out would be an awesome feature. waking up and not knowing if you're still being watched and toyed with - great stuff.

you could always just kill your character if its obvious that you're in for hours of sitting. or you could always attempt to escape via running away, considering the guy is afk. learn to think through your own scenarios before getting so snappy.

could they not just make a weapon that shoots a very short distance and has infinite ammo, and play a custom animation for the melee weapon?

remove server hoping and its back to defensive. i dont think we should be changing anything just because it makes it hard for someone else to get somewhere, as many have said, thats the point behind the wire. -

i like the idea of player stashes, though tents fill that position atm... though Im always for variety, it would be cool if you could hide shit anywhere -

[Suggestion] Night/Day Cycle

struggling to see how you can rationalize a 12 hour day with a worldwide uniform cycle as being more realistic than a local 24 hour one.. sorry champ edit - actually since it takes place in the same map, a uniform day/night cycle is more realistic - though i enjoy being able to play at night, increasing atmosphere and tension because it is also night irl -
i dont get why people disconnect in this game. youre going to die inevitably, there is no scoreboard. love this idea.

just to clarify, i mean the player that puts handcuffs on others shouldnt be limited, but i agree with slowing down the person that is cuffed. maybe add a chance to prone (fall) if you sprint.

noss, i am arguing in favor of handcuffs. i like the idea. that post was in response to the comments arguing that 'people wont be able to eat and will be screwed' i dont think there should be any limitations on the players that handcuff though, if you want someone to follow then just tell them via direct. if they dont, kill them. im all for things that add to the gameplay, but nothing that builds things in when they arent necessary.

why must there be a way out of every situation? this mod isnt meant to "hold your hand". if you were to find yourself in a situation where you are tied up irl, is there going to be a safety net there for you when you get hungry - aside from finding a friendly i guess its a fucking survival sandbox, not a wonderland

i think this idea is great. would add alot to immersion, there are people that will stick with the character just to see where it goes.

the great thing about this game is that groups of people are holding towns for this purpose without the need for scripted elements, its a sandbox

Oh well, cant say it wasnt expected. cheers edit- since I saw the fire running at that size without fps loss, would it not be possible to just scale the flames at a distance, and when you get close enough to the forest, just use already existing elements to effect? an example would be to -lower visibility to a minimum (fog) -apply screen effects utilizing gamma / contrast -tint in yellow/red/white/whatever colour fits -use heat distortion effects -play loud fire sfx when in the forest -

sucks that bushfires are impossible due to engine, maybe arma 3 will have an easier time handling something like this. i initially thought it would be too much for the engine, but after seeing the fire bugs, there was hope since all that would be needed would be to move it down into the forest. was running without fps loss btw. dismemberment would be a cool addition, ive seen other mods with it working - is it because those were single player? but yeah thanks for the replies -
ive been reading through two threads for an answer regarding the difference in versions of weapons and sfx in the changelog compared to the server - should I wait to update, or is it just named incorrectly?

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ROCKET, NEVER CHANGE take into consideration the possibility that those writing up mini essays about why you shouldnt be calling others 'carebears' are probably too young to be playing this legally in the first place - I mean wtf? Who cares? NEVER CHANGE. btw, i love you with all my penis this is the game ive been waiting for... stalker 2 has to match this atmosphere and dynamic nature or not compete imo

it seems a shame that a compromise cant be reached between gun through wall + movement camp vs stuck on stairs because youre holding a pistol camp the idea of auto lower and raise when moving into these areas seems more realistic considering the act of moving your arms out of the way to move through a doorway is second nature to people IRL

it would be nice to have something in the woods that keeps you on your toes. bears have been suggested, this low zombie chance is also something I think would add to the games atmosphere. -
