I am here to warn you all so you won't lose your precious vehicle like me. After being very lucky I found a broken ATV which i managed to repair within something like 2 hours. But the ride did not last for long. I wanted to take a break from playing and therefor i needed to find a place to hide the thing. I headed north to Pobeda Dam and i wanted to cross the Dam. And here is the problem : When you try to cross the dam with a vehile there is something like an invisible ramp / ascent and when you drive 'cross it you can't go back nor can you drive forward anymore. I had quite some speed and i flew a few meters with the ATV and we got stuck When i tried to use the reverse gear it felt like driving against an invisible wall and the ATV went head over heels ... Btw ..is there no way to turn your damn ATV around ?! Must be kidding me .. No way to save it .. Wasted 2 hours for looking for repair pieces just to get 5 minutes of driving around :( In this moment, death was the only way out

DAMN ! Just found my very first car today and after a restart few hours later it was gone ;__; The server i play on is 1.7.2.5 and restarts every 4-6 hours.. well just my luck -_- Does that mean that as of 1.7.2.5 there's no way to save my vehicle? What's smarter ? hitting save vehicle or not to do it ?

I have got almost the same set-up as you do and i also could barely run the game at 30+FPS AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE | Overclocked to 3,8GHz Kingston DDR3 RAM 8GB Radeon HD 6870 GPU | 1024 MB GDDR5 I could slove my low fps issue by moving my arma and arma oa folder to my new HDD because before that i had it stored on my 5 year old OS HDD. Since then I can smoothly run it at high textures and max resolution with ~60FPS and a bit less in big towns. It's because i read that the game is supposed to be more HDD dependant than on other hardware components. My old HDD had an averange read of about 60 MB/s and the new one has over 120MB/s Oh, also note : it can also be caused by joining outdated / bad servers. There are servers where i never get more than 20FPS but others that work wonderful. There are also tweaks to create a virtual harddrive with the use of your RAM with a program called ramdisk There are several tutorials on that on youtube like this one : They recommend copying your DayZ mod folder to the virutal hdd to increase performance

I heard that this game is also very HDD dependant.. So maybe you have a slower HDD than your friend ? What's his Graphics Card ?

Einfachste Lösung die mir auch geholfen hat : Verwende die Software DayZ Commander... Man kann das Steam overlay ganz bequem in den Settings von DayZ Commander anmachen. Ist sehr nützlich und hat noch einige andere schöne hilfreiche Spielereien wie z.b Server mit veralteter Server ausblenden, Spiel und Mod mit ein paar wenigen Klicks auf die neueste Version oder eine ältere bringen, Window mode, nur server anzeigen auf denen gerade Tag is etc... http://www.dayzcommander.com/
