I really dislike it. I'm sick of DayZ only tending to the impossible-difficulty crowd rather than having a middleman. I personally don't play DayZ for the challenge. I haven't played DayZ for the challenge since I joined. And I was one of the first to get the mod. Why they can't just have servers with individual difficulties, I don't know. But, I'm not going to be playing 1.8.1 until DayZ stops caring only about the hardcore crowd. -

Implementing things such as Carabeeners (Or however they're spelled. That's just what I call them when I go camping.) and zip-ties to externally store things would be nice. It'd be an advantage to take the mountain backpacks- because they can hold more on the outside than a hunting pack. -

A campaign is the exact opposite of DayZ. DayZ is the true essence of a sandbox. No goal, no true path, only you and your brain. and beans. A campaign takes this away from you, turning it from a completely open-minded dergtrip to a linear rollercoaster with zombies. DayZ should be like DayZ. Not L4D2. They're both good, but they're different beasts. Like a corgi and a hedgehog.

Going to what Philly said, there are reports of people that have survived more than 3 9mm shots straight to the dome. The round simply lacks penetration power to do more than inflict bleeding. Any major organ/artery will severely wound them, but a straight bodyshot won't do shit. -

Here's a good scenario. "Oh boy! I finally found .22 ammo for my Sporter! Can't wait to use this! Wait a second... Shit. This ammo is 2 nanometers too big to fit into the sporter. Oh well. Gotta hope I'm luckier." A larger amount of ammo types incorporates more luck-based looting into the game. And, last I checked, the DayZ community hates luck. I know for a fact that I do. Especially when my virtual life is on it. -

Most of the "Stereotypical" DayZ players only want the game to be near impossible. I agree with your viewpoint. Games were made to entertain, not to challenge last I checked. At least, that was the philosophy when gaming became mainstream. -
