Is it even possible to die in the first 3-5 minutes, without the involvement of : - suicide - spawn campers - hackers I don't think so. If you figure out that zombies have absolutely abysmal scripting - which can easily be observed by anything they do - you'll counter them by holding "W", and survive until you find the first player. 30+ minutes for a clueless, first time player is easily achievable.

There are ways to block buildings with wire, in a way that makes removing the wire impossible without constant ghosting. When half of your server is blocked that way, and you get the regular "We don't allow server wipes" response, due to Team Rocket having hard ons for the delicious mountain of money called Standalone, you begin to wonder...

I would've picked a range finder, and left everything else. On Lingor i hardly have any weapon preferences - with the abundance of buildings snipers don't have as big of an advantage - but them bloody RF's are just nowhere to be found.

Like the Lingor map or hate it, but you know what..? No bloody hacker infestation there! Servers i play on give away IP and Hardware ID bans for script kiddies. What does it mean? Many of them are just GONE. Lingor also has a rather large "hive" of servers connected to one another. Not to mention the insane amount of open buildings. I was completely indifferent towards Lingor for two months, and now i'm regretting it completely. Having a great time. You don't even need tents. At all. The single exception for a tent would be NVG's, i guess.

I've found weapons that shouldn't even exist. Entire tent cities of them. After playing on certain servers, Makarov is the rarest weapon to find.

You gain humanity over time, up until 2500. And when you change your skin, you "start at 0", but it does stack with the previous 2500 (and other 2500's from before). Thus, by just playing the game and changing skins often, you will be a hero. Killing zombies gives you nothing.

Custom skins will get you kicked most of the time. Not banned, though.

Sniper Rifles are most commonly found on top of the factory in Cherno, in the mountains, north of Cherno, and on sniper hill in electro. They used to be common on the hill north of Stary Sobor's tents, and on the NWAF. They spawn in hard to miss containers, that look exactly like player characters, but due to lack of movement and absolute blindness to anything that is not in their scoped area, they were labeled as objects a while ago. You might need to hit the container a few times with a gun of any sort, because it's sometimes unlootable otherwise. Possibly a bug.

They are worth absolutely nothing, unless you want to give them to a thirsty newbie. He might give you his flashlight in return.

How does the discussion about military weapon spawn rate matter, when every server has thousands of tents with AS50 TWS"s in them? That weapon isn't spawning for a long time now, and yet it's more common than Makarov. "Remove the tents" you say "Remove them, and THEN decrease the spawns". On a server with many people : AVOID Cherno and Electro unless you have found a gun in a barn / house on the way to those two. West of Cherno is the best possible spawn, with Balota, 4 watchtowers there, and 4-8 more (depending on your detours) on the way to Zeleno. I suggest skipping even Balota most of the time, but that one has 93,1% less snipers than Cherno and Ele. Zeleno has a store, and many bicycle spawns (not that you have a chance of finding one in .5, but back in the day...) Between Zeleno and Stary there are bucketloads of possible heli crash sites and deer stands. Before you get there, you're loaded.
