Well if you read that with a little common-sense, when you're preparing to release a product, you'd have discussed a price and a target date among your team. Of course they'll have something pencilled in. But like Rocket said, it could be delayed.
-
No-one but people at BIS knows the price and release date. No-one.

Steam's fine, I've personally used it for roughly 5 years now and not had a single issue.
-
The threat of losing your steam account should be enough to deter some hackers

Incase you missed it, a new devblog update: http://dayzdev.tumblr.com/

^ Doesn't look like it came from the official facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/DayZDev/info

DayZ will be on steam. http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/13eyr0/standalone_release_date_updated_to_december/c73eo4m

No, December
-
Read it again. It's coming out in December...that is the update.
-
For forum users, you sure don't do a lot of post reading...
-
that only works if you accompany it with a picture of a facial expression

We cannot announce the exact day, as is the nature of releasing in alpha. That day could change...on the day...and we try not to announce anything unless it's set in stone. The devs are on track for December. Most games when they announce a release date have the game largely finished and they're already working on the DLC, the date just helps the marketing department. This does not apply for DayZ

OP updated, release date

The biggest thing they have done in preparation for the first release is mostly under-the-hood. It probably wont blow you away at first, but trust me it's a vast improvement.

Crash course on the 1.7.3 Combat System (by the person who wrote it)

You havent warranted a temp suspension, but I highly recommend that once your point has been addressed, you move on. There is absolutely no need to inflame the situation when your issue has been made clear to the parties involved. -

Making accusations based on nothing to get the devs to respond is definitely not the way to go about it. -

It's people like you that plant seeds of misinformation for the sake of being pessimistic, causing the false information to spread, and leading to a giant mess that we have to clean up.Cut it out, or you get your lucky 3rd warning. -
It will get you nowhere.

Rocket is from NZ, and wants to start up a studio here in Dunedin one day...I dare say he has places like NZ and other far-reaching countries in mind when it comes to server hosting. -

The earth has 2 hemispheres :)Also, the Snowy Nepalese mountains are south of the Mongolian desert plains. Also, there probably should never be snow on an island that size in the ocean, due to the amount of salt in the air.
