What a very interesting post...haha. Just quietly, I saw some UAZs (jeeps) somewhere north of elektro...and a nearby factory with many car parts ;) -
Ultimately, the choice is down to the player...there are many ways of surviving, and some people have chosen the PvP path. We cannot hold it against them, as it cannot be proven to be better or worse than any other way. Very interesting, however; the community started as friendly and helpful, and is now distrusting and dishonest. Much like the "Lord of the Flies" story. It's evolution, baby!

The devs are working very hard on the connection issues. They have made the connection issues a high priority and are chasing every error that's reported :) -

I can put a backstory to why we should not turn in to zombies if you like... After 1 year of the strange 'Z' virus ravaging the world, small pockets of survivors began emerging. It had become apparent that about 10% of the world's population had an inherent immunity, and initially were not infected by the airborne virus. Eventually survivors were being bitten and scratched by the infected, causing them to eventually turn at a much faster rate. Of the 10%, only 2% survived the day-to-day encounters with the infected, and were not effected by bites or scratches. From a population of 7 billion, only 14 million remained world-wide after 3 short years. :)

Is the DayZ Development going to stay PURE?

They are most likely going to stay pure, at least until Arma 3 comes out (with more robust support). The good thing about that is, if true, Arma 3 will have in-game ACRE. That means there will be no extra mods to download. ...Im just really interested to see if this mod gets incorporated into Arma 3, or remain a mod -
This will be the main thing that sells Arma 3, hahaha

That will only put more stress on the server. You should definitely write a letter to your ISP/Political representative, though...censoring the internet is just wrong

Morality System: You only lose 5 points for killing a bandit (I think?) Flashlights: Holding a flashlight and using a gun at the same time is very awkward. Back in my rabbit shooting days, my hunting partner had to hold the torch so I could keep a grip on the gun stock. The only torch you could hold with a gun is those large ones with the looped handle on top. None of those are in game. Better Loot: Survival should motivate people to move away from the coastline. The only hot PKing areas in DayZ is the coast, and the airfields. But I also think frequency of better loot should increase the further north you head.

yea, but fortunately you only have to go back to the slot selection to get it back. -
Smoke grenades are more important than I realised...I had 2 on me, each nade stopped about 10 zombies in a town (where firing off my gun was not an option)

Not in spawn, need more animals out in the wild...spawn has enough food lying around in nearby towns.

Reduce bullet damage to players. Usually you take 1 shot, most of your blood is gone, and youre bleeding out hard, so you can either run somewhere safe and die, or stop and bandage and get shot again. -
