This x10000000 I've played mutiple games with 'random loot spawn' mechanics and you know what? Access to code or not someone ALWAYS takes the time to learn how the loot spawning system works. As insitv said if he didn't have access to the code he could just jump on a server with some buddies and test it out, it would have taken him far far longer than it would with access to the code but it would still have been done. No matter what the loot spawn system is or becomes in the mod and/or standalone...someone will take the time to work it out, trust me. -

Confirmed as one of hardcoreymp's friends, 4 of us on server...hardcoreymp, myself, another friend...and Barack Obama. Filling up car at the gas station just north of Zelenogorsk, myself and friend one shot (AS50 or hack)...shortly after hardcoreymp killed at Balota Airfield...half a map away. -

How do you actually meetup to group?

Much like real life you just have to meet up with someone at a common location, somewhere in a city/town/farm or at landmark (hill/rock/lighthouse) that you both recognise/know the location of. Comminication over your particular flavor of voice comm's software (Skype/Vent/TS/Mumble) i would say is pretty vital for meeting someone in game and then once you're together...staying together. Get on voice comm's, agree to meet the person at X location and when you finally find them...that's it, you're as 'grouped' as the current version of the DayZ mod will let you be :) -

I think the sooner Dayz get's a Community Manager the better, with all the available avenue's that gamers can comminicate with game developers (Official Game forums, Twitter, Reddit, Facebook etc) having someone diseminating relevant (and consistent) information through all of those avenue's is a really good way for the Dev's to stay in touch with the community (through the non-dev Community Manager) while the Dev's get on with making the standalone/working on updates for the mod. Oh, and same as above...some news is better than no news. If the patch has been pushed back then just say so...don't ignore us, people don't like being ignored (as I think you've seen by now) -

If you're not trolling...then people never cease to amaze, confuse and frighten me. A few questions for you my friend: 1. If you don't like the mod and have stopped playing (the mods shit right, you're not still playing it...right?) why are you posting on the forums? When I stop having fun playing a game I...just stop playing it...I don't run to the forums and write posts about my personal dislike of the game to people who really don't care what I think 2. You're complaining about the lack of support for a free mod that's in Alpha...really...no no, really? You're 100% serious? Sure the mod is buggy as hell and I too get frustriated sometimes with it but it is what it is, a free mod that's in Alpha. You didn't pay for DayZ you paid for ARMA II and Operation Arrowhead or the Combined Ops pack, if something is wrong with ARMA II feel free to complain on the ARMA II forums, else I can't really think of any grounds you have to complain about DayZ. -

Firstly: That video is pretty damming Secondly: That video is pretty damming (I know I said that twice but it deserves it) Thirdly: UZI/PDW weapons are allowed, I've seen many in game, spawned at Military Barracks and on dead players You're in a camp with a SUV...those aren't in DayZ, if you'd like to explain how a SUV and an Ammo box came to be in a camp you were actively in we'd all like to hear it... -
Standalone: Magazine in gun doesn't use inventory space.

Your argument would be quite valid if the game used such a mechanic (total carrying capacity), but it doesn't. At present the only mechanic I can see is inventory slots per item depending on their bulk/mass, they do not have a 'weight' nor does your character have a total carrying capacity after which penalties to your movement etc are applied. Logic suggests that if I take a magazine from it's pouch on my vest and load it in to my gun, that chest pouch slot is now empty...and therefore I can put something else in it. Even if they introduced a total carrying capacity your argument still wouldn't hold, as long as I didn't go over my total carrying capacity rating I could still put something in the empty slot. -

Hey mobes12 from West Coast USA, must've been typing when you posted...any chance you could be on between 6am and 12pm your time? Even if it's just quick to give me some anti-biotics? I have a map and GPS and will run to wherever you are for them. Not sure what your play times are like but I can probably log on early (5am-ish your time), run to your general location and wait for you in the early morning your time to meet up...I'll pretty much come to wherever you are to get them! :) Let me know if we can sort a meet-up out, thanks mate! -

Hey Medic Team, Stuck in Cherno hospital (hospital + 2 army medical tents outside) looking for Anti-biotics, dam zombie bites! Have server hopped a few times but to to avail, can't find the things. Have coughed myself down to 6k blood and am holding steady but would like to kick the infection I've got so I can get myself back to 12k again. I'm an Australian player so my timezone is UTC+10 where as USA East Coast is UTC-4 and West Coast is UTC-7 so my usual play time means I can be on/available anywhere between; 6am -> 12pm, UTC-4 and 3am -> 9am, UTC-7 If you're in another timezone let me know and I'll do the conversion for you to see if you'll be on/available at the time's I'll be on :) I'm currently running 1.7.2.5 but Dayz Commander will let me downgrade to 1.7.2.4 if needed. If anyone can help that would be much appreciated!
