Well, basicaly we've got custom buildings placed and some minor modifactions. Though thats all done through database editing so far, also to avoid having the clients download a custom mod package, but instead being good to go with normal dayz and rMod enabled. So that ends up with towns like Kamenka having an industrial spawn and some minor lookout points (the Novy water tower for example), creating a fresh atmosphere and giving those crappy spawn points some sense as well. What Im looking forward to is changing the weapon balance, e.g. by editing the helicopter spawn sites loot table as that seems far less complicated than editing the whole dayz loot spawning in general. And additionally would be greatly appreciative of a possibility to include arma2 weapons that are included in rMod as well. As of now, the database cant spawn predefined inventory in vehicles or weapon drops in general, so adding them to heli crash sites would be perfect. @Mrdk: Thanks for the reply mate. Ways to edit these features would be perfect too, greatly appreciating an advise on what file to edit and what line of code to look at to. So far Im trying to avoid any changes that force players to download custom files/version of the mod as I take that as too much of a hazzle for most players. -

Very cool thing if Im able to get it to work. Currently about to try it out on our private hive and excited to finally have the possibility of adding different skins than the usual ones. +Beans too for that. So, that leads me to another question that people might have found out by fiddling around with the server files: Any good and quick way to edit the loot table of helicopter crash sites? Thing we're trying to achieve is removing the .50 cal guns and possibly the L85 too for creating a slightly re-balanced gun distribution on the server. While one could also do that by just replacing guns in players inventory through the databse, I find the way of doing that through servers files far less vulnerable to errors on the DB end of things, at least if its possible to do. So any help in that direction would be greatly appreciated. -
Us1166 ..random server wipe or butt hurt admin ?

Hi there! Admins dont have the ability to do anything at all, but rather refer to that in another thread, seems to be a lot that clarify what admins can do - wiping a server aint one of these things. So, to your actual problem: currently with 1.7.2.5 alot of servers, if not all, dont save the inventory of tents and vehicles, plus the latter ones will also get reset to their spawn positions on server restart. A bug we're suffering from for quite a few days now, but cant do anything else than wait for the devs to fix it. While we're trying to get around that and at least have people enjoy their stockpile for a couple days by avoiding any server reboot, theres still the occasional reboot by our server provider which we cant do anything about. Just have to live with it. In the end, admins and clan members on that server are probably suffering just as you are and everyone else that is currently still playing DayZ and has that crap occur. (Just to clarify: Im not admin of US1166 nor have anything to do with that server) -

Hi there! Great tool so far, been using it without problems for a couple days (except a few minor crashes, will keep error logs next time I get them). What Id like to see is the time added to the front of the console log, so its easier to sort things out. Also, I dont need refreshes on player numbers every 5 secs, a configurable time would be ideal so one can adapt that to the situational needs. Would also prevent the console spam with "refreshing players... / x players are currently online). Anyway, still a great tool, thanks for contributing that to the community! -
No vehicles spawning on new server.

If youd read a few pages through the thread you might have noticed that on 15th IDs up to 12.000 have been fixed in the database and should spawn vehicles after their next restart. Fits perfectly to your 8 day theory. The OP might also update his first post to reflect that the issue has most probably been fixed for those IDs listed. Still most people here are still facing the "inventory not saving"/"cars respawn on server reboot" issues, but I guess theres a separate thread open for that. -
ATV spawning on island where chopper is suppose to.

Ive seen that ATV and the Chopper spawn there at the same time quite often. Dont think they share any sort of spawn mechanic or anything at all. Your chopper has probably respawned somewhere else, or not at all. (Ive got at least 2 servers that dont seem to have a chopper at all, even though theres lots of other worthless vehicles spawned that all reset on server restart). -

So far I can tell that vehicles are spawning just fine on our ID ~8700 server, still once rebooted the V2A truck turned into a bicycle. Surprisingly the vehicle seems to remember the state of damage it was in, as I was able to repair the engine of the bicycle (which was the only damaged thing remaining on the truck before). Seems like the vehicle class gets lost somewhere in the database during the save and reload process.
