A message to Sumrak: I'm reading a lot of complaints about the Bloodsucker being too powerful and mean and many people are asking you to remove it or nerf it. I just have one thing to say: look at the zombies right now. They used to be a pain in the ass some months ago and many people cried and begged (ME INCLUDED) Rocket to nerf them and fix their random and glitchy movements and their speed. Look at them now, they are a fucking joke. Moving objects in your way to find weapos and kill other players. Run behind a building, hide in some trees, dodge them and move a bit while you shoot, hell, you can even loot an entire place without shooting a bullet just running and hiding. The Bloodsucker is making people be careful again and being affraid of and NPC just like DayZ used to be. DON'T CHANGE THEM!

I just 'came back' to Dayz a week or so ago since I stopped playing for like 2 months. I wanted to try a few new maps and watched some videos on youtube from popular streamers. After watching the videos and playing a bit (most recent map was Namalsk) all I have to say is that zombies are a BIG FUCKING JOKE at the moment. I have to admit I was one of the players complaining that the zeds were too hard (a few months ago) but damn, I was so wrong. They are like flies, like moving decorations in the maps, just keep moving all the time and they will stop chasing you, shoot all you want and they will not give a damn. I can't complain about the status of the game now (almost pure pvp) because I like it and I find it fun, but zombies have to be way harder in the standalone, they have to fuck you up very badly if you are not cautious, the game is in part about surviving in a world infested with zombies and that's not the case anymore since people learned how to avoid them. I agree that the presence of Zombies should make you shit your trousers in fear.

You know, I understand how difficult must be to try and keep cheating scum away from the game and that they have to be all 'secretive' with all the info regarding how and when the bans are issued. BUT (yes, a big but) I find the 'WE NEVER MAKE MISTAKES-SCREW YOU AND YOUR MONEY WE DON'T CARE YOU CHEATING SCUM' attitude kind of stupid. EVERY-FUCKING-BODY can fuck up, even the most prestigious and efficient companies fuck up sometimes. And that doesn't mean they suck for that, it means that nothing is 100% absolutely perfect, and fixes and updates need to be constant since the cheating scumbags always find new ways to do their shit. And it is as simple as this: A simple message to let everybody know that they are aware of the issue and they are working on it. No accusations, no name calling, no 'fuck you cheating cheaterzzzzz', etc. And to let your costumers know (or your costumer's costumers) that you care and that you are wiling to amend the mistake (if there is any), and that you are not a bunch of arrogant assholes that think they never make mistakes. -

Fair enough, but what about other players? Right now, pretty much everyone without a military spawn weapon is screwed against players that have one.

Right, you are Robin Hood, good for you. That doesn't change the fact that you need 14, yes, 14 9mm bullets to kill another player and 9 .45 bullets. Still ridiculous.

This is something I thought once. Honest question Rocket, why wouldn't this work? a 5-10 seconds yimer when you disconnect and 15-20 seconds to connect to the SAME server. I really am ingnorant about the way characters are loaded into the game, but woulnd't this be enough to avoid duplicated characters?

Mate, open your mind. Number 1 reason: MONEY. Not everybody can afford a 1000, 600 or even 400 dollar/euro PC so we have to try to play with the hardware we have. I personally could afford a 1000 euro PC but I'm overseas and I don't have a 'home' at the moment, so this obviously means that moving around with a rig, a 24 inch screen, mouse and keyboard, etc is impossible to me. So yeah, I think all the suggestions about new hardware are appreciated, but not everybody is in the same position. -

Mate, are you sure that is an AKM? The 1911 pistol still kills zombies in one shot (so no change in their health) and the only gun that could be mistaken by an AKM is an AK-74 which deals less damage and requires you to shoot twice to kill a zombie. Source: I played with a friend last night, I was using a 1911 and he had an AK-74 kobra. I was one shoting zombies, he had to shoot twice to stop them. -

It used to piss me off to get killed for nothing, while I was trying to explore and to complete my 'collection' of nice equipment. But that was mainly because I was fairly new to the game and it was quite difficult to find stuff and to make any progress in general. I didn't know exactly where to go and I was, most of the time, a bit careless. As a noob, seeing all your efforts and your progress destroyed by some asshole with a sinper rifle was quite frustrating. But that has changed after some weeks playing the game. You learn that stuff is relatively easy to find when you know the 'good loot' spots, you learn to be more careful and to move with caution in some areas, you learn how to fight back when some idiot with a makarov tries to kill you, and you learn that all that cool stuff you had when you died, can be replaced in a few hours (2 to 4 hours for me and I have again all the necessary stuff to survive). I would say that the complaints come from players that are quite new to the game and get to feel the frustration I was talking about, but once they get how the game works, I could bet that they would enjoy some firefights every once in a while because that is one of the more exciting parts of the game.
