    Tape and Radio

I think the issue with the radio station building or having a set radio mast that you have to get up and running is that they might become a bit of a battle ground. I think I prefer the pirate radio sort of feel where you can move the station around if you are in danger of being found. Radio seems like it would be the most authentic way of communicating in a setting like Dayz, i hope it makes it in one way or another!

    Tape and Radio

Wouldn't it be cool to be searching around a building and find an old school boombox with a cassette deck and be able to play different tapes that you find around the map? Maybe some nice Russian music, maybe some recording from military bases with info on the initial outbreak. The really cool thing behind this would be to allow players to record short messages onto tape that could then be played by other people. I think this would work nicely along the proposed note system. You could play it in a car with a working sound system or a boombox. The other thought is inspired by pirate radio. Could there be a radio station on the map that you can broadcast from? Would need to acquire parts and generate electricity. Or could you loot the equipment and set up a station from anywhere on the map? Again you would be able to tune into the station in a vehicle or a radio. Thoughts?

    NPC Civilians

Yeah fair. To be honest I'm really not a fan of your tradition mmo questing/reward system, the motivation comes more from wanting to give people another option other than shooting each other! DayZ is amazing, but if we ever do have a zombie apocalypse, i hope people are not so cut throat and work together!

    NPC Civilians

Not sure if this has already been suggested but was thinking about the idea of NPC non zombie civilians. The obvious issue with the game so far is that after a certain period of time you have not got a whole lot to do, which seems to lead a lot of people into banditry! Imagine making your way into a building only to find a crying NPC begging you to get him to some sort of safety. The challenge would be to escort him out of the building, fend of any zombies, and take him to some sort of safehouse/fort (obviously another thing to think about). Maybe you would then receive some sort of reward, or maybe being a nice guy would be reward enough. I think it would work well in a group, storming a stronghold to free multiple helpless civilians. Not sure how feasible this would be to implement- i guess the NPC could mirror your movement state, eg, if you're prone they would be prone, if you're running they would be running. Maybe you could give them a pistol! Anyway, just a thought!
