The game is quite big already, add zombies, players, the huge amount of vegetation plus every building being enterable would require a massive amount of work, also your game might slow down to like a few fps. basically the game is already big, making it with every building enter-able without some dedicated person 24/7 will be a damn tough job. But it can be done.

well this isn't a player based action. What he's saying is in the remote areas where (if you imagine) a player has been bitten and wandered off into the woods slowly transforming into a zombie, then is halfway transformed so they've got enough to resist but they still want to eat. They also haven't gotten the trademark face or walk of zombies yet as they haven't fully transformed. But if you get close they just pick up and sprint after you as they cant fully control themselves.

Nice idea, tranquilliser guns, tasers etc I know in Chernarus Life they have a scroll menu selection of knocking someone out if your within reach of them. Also I remember someone mentioning pepper spray at some point, would just make the screen go black for say 1 min. I think as an overall though you would need to say take 1 min to get back up but it takes longer than 1 min to reload the weapon (or to that effect).

I actually really like this idea, it will make trusting players even more difficult, but they should be given a tell tale sign that they are zombies and should only start to run at you when your close making it more difficult to tell if they are zombies or survivors. +1 to this for sure

well it seems like a good idea for RPers but anything else smoking will be a negative, the only reason why it calms your nerves when smoking is because it was the lack of smoking that caused you to get the nerves, there aren't any physical drugs in cigarettes that actually work on the nerves. The reason why you don't get a higher adrenaline rush is because your arteries are clogged with cholesterol and tar. So overall the Pros would be steadier gun sights in a crisis. bonding with other players who smoke (they haven't got a cig but you do). the smoking action gives you a sense of nerves being calmed. the cons would be Loss of stamina much quicker. cigarette will produce light (akin to the light sticks with say another 20m range). The need to smoke and stop more often (more breaks than everyone who doesn't smoke. if you miss smoking deadline you start to get jittery due to withdrawal.

I think an easy and quick squad management menu is all that is required, in the tutorial video they do not cover how squads are locked and how to invite players into the squad. also when in the squad you can use group chat to talk to players in that squad but not outside the squad, keeping communication to just that squad, it also allows for people to still hear you in direct chat so your conversation is not private if you are close to other players.

Good idea +1 to this. should be with a battery life as said and part of the inventory so you can switch between a handgun or torch.

Why? I already have a reason to clear the zombies - the supplies in the town which help me and my friends survive. I don't want NPC telling me to clear it and rewarding me with an extra can of beans for it. [/quote'] well the reward wouldn't be food it would be the town or castle, that way its not an advantage of having better items, it just means certain roleplay issues could be carried out such as controlling and area for players to go into and having player battles(10vs10) etc.

I think the choice should be there to do missions, but not a crucial aspect of it, so you run around and choose if you want to do missions. This should also not affect players who are not content with missions (i.e. giving players doing missions amazing loot) maybe the missions should just initiate a part of the game such as: You have to clear out all these zombies to take control of this town/castle.

one of the main reasons why this is a good idea is because with a player driven area you are looking at 24/7 operation for this to be successful + server restarts/crashes (in which case you lose all placed items), how is that going to help a player driven operation? You need an area where everyday no matter night time or day time, there is a place you can go and just meet people and trade, without the addition of other players influence. Im sorry but if you want to stand guard and set up (after every server restart) an area where players can come and go and trade without any shots fired etc you are going to have to have a lot of time on your hands and no problems with being shot every few minutes and having to move back to that particular area all day to protect and nurture it. If a say a clan does it, it will mean everyone there will be on one side. I tell you now im not knowingly walking into a clans camp, their rules, their policies, I break something and im shot dead and all my loot gone, no thanks :). I am for maybe player controlled areas (so a place which can be capped and controlled) so you clear out the zombies and hold against several waves of zombies untill the end, then you get control of the place and can set up stuff (i.e. tents etc). And when you take control of the area torch lights and flares start popping up around the area at night so that its lit up. Once again changing the thread but it just occurred to me.

Im going to steal from this and say what if you could lie down in your tent to get warm? you can already crawl inside the tent so adding the ability to lie down wouldn't be too much to ask, and decrease the amount of time it takes to warm up from 10 mins to like 1 minute. it could also be used a logout procedure so you lie down and it automatically saves your tent and you in that location.

+1 to this, but if any blokes play as women it would take the fun out of it, im sorry but whenever I see a woman ingame all I can imagine is the dude sitting behind the screen which is just plain weird. -
making it purely head shot based will make it a complete waste of time, kids you don't take people down with a headshot, trust me if I put a torso shot through your spine you aren't walking anywhere zombie or not. You all (except a few) have never seen a person being hit by a bullet obviously (I wouldn't want you to) but if you hit a person living or dead in the stomach or chest the bullet would blow out of your back a massive hole, nothing is getting up from that.

I know how ACRE works mate, its a Teamspeak 3 Plugin, theres your one major downfall because everyone will need Teamspeak to play and everyone most probably doesn't want Teamspeak. Your idea is good but will likely be used on private servers if ever the option arises.

A DMZ zone would be kind of nice, one you couldn't fire into or out of, and would encourage player trade etc but I think it would be a prime place for bandits to sit outside of waiting for players to come out. But overall a good idea as something like this needs to be implemented, but everything in it should be player driven, I don't like the idea of NPC's selling stuff.

sounds very interesting and very easy to implement :) the loot side of things would have to be player side though, that way you could lose and keep your can of beans, but risk getting shot by everyone else playing.

Hmm im up for the removal of all communication except direct, but why the inclusion of ACRE? I think the only way that might be good is if you had just walkie-talkies which only worked over say 200 meters. 7/. I think servers should be of varying difficulties but should state what difficulty they are in the title.

The MP5 SD ammo is the subsonic ammo, im kind of curious as to why it doesn't let you use both types in the same weapon though? Also I think there are more zombies ingame and its impossible to lose them all in one hit, but then again we are talking about a town or city you are raiding which on average would have around 500 to 50000 residents who just went AWOL.

the fire your seeing is from a vehicle which has bugged out when destroyed (most prob heli which been destroyed). The dismemberment in SP is very much indeed different in MP as you would (like the bandit) need to swap skins to say lose an arm :/ Also Arma 3 is going to even more demanding than Arma 2 so I wouldnt expect anything there :D
