Hey mate If your looking for military tactics I think you might want to try us out, we have been a clan for Arma for six years now and we are all very proficient in teamwork and communications, we have training every Wednesday to hone in on the tactics that are learned in basic training. We are a very experienced PvP clan, we have PvP events every weekend(which everyone is welcome to) and we play a mod called Project Reality which is a purely PvP mod. if you want an example of our PvP style The method you are referring to we use in every town as a cover and approach method, we will usually have two man teams, two snipers and two assaulter's. We will also make you more Pro-efficient in anything you want to learn such as sniping. Just come give us a try and if you dont like us then just carry on searching, oh and we aren't milism, we just know when it gets tough. -
Looking for fun clan/group/individuals for Hardcore Servers ONLY

Hey mate We are used to playing on hardcore servers, RGG that is, as we play hardcore most of the time on other mods (Project Reality, ACE etc) so youll find most of our lads are proficient in teamwork and communications. We sit on either US Hardcore 1 or 2, we have training on Wednesdays which you are more than welcome to which hones the abilities of the the players, we do this on our own training map. you will find we cover each others backs and we work well in large groups, we have been playing Arma for six years now so we are pretty honed on developing an individual to becoming the best they can on Arma, which includes DayZ as its the same mechanics etc. If you want to give us a try come jump on TS etc and if you dont like us just carry on the search :) Best Regards Dale -
Regiment of the Grenadier Guards [RGG] DayZ Event (03/06/2012) Introduction: Hey all, this weekends event is on Sunday at 10:00 GMT till 22:00 GMT. (Time Zone Helper) The idea for this event is to get players together and working in groups so that you can meet new people who play DayZ, this will mean you can form groups that you know and get contact information from potential players, its also a great way for new players to the game to learn things off veterans. There is no need to sign up, you can put your name down though so people can see your attending or your wanting to form a group etc, all you need to do is turn up on our teamspeak and get playing/talking :). again the reason why people are buying a mod is because everyone keeps writing "Game" when they talk about DayZ. DayZ is not a "Game" its a "Mod", we have agreed on that one, im saying people dont know its "Mod". Not everyone is as versed in your worldly wisdom of mods and games unfortunately, and with every DayZ player calling it a "Game" and not a "Mod" equals in less knowledge of it being a "Mod".

Well we will all meet up on the TS and decide from there, so everyone will give their suggestions etc. Also last time we had enough people to separate onto the different servers :), its pretty much anyone can turn up and join a group on our TS and just enjoy some group orientated play while meeting new people.

I think you are missing a much bigger picture here and that is people believe DayZ is a Game and not a mod, the reasoning behind this is because Arma 2 is not present in the gamers terminology of DayZ enough. for someone like me whos been playing Arma for years DayZ is just another mod, for others its the sole reason they are buying Arma 2. If people can take advantage of that something needs to be done to impress upon the fact that DayZ is just a Bi Product of Arma 2 and not a full game itself. So calling people stupid who may not understand the concept(considering a lot came from unmodifiable games) is stupid in its own right with the implication of stupidity due to lack of knowledge. So instead of going against the post because of your theoretical lack of knowledge being the point in case, try to support by advertising the said lack of knowledge thereof. Effectively. Teach People you lazy git.

Well the easy way is to make a server side gamma setting, so everyone gets the same, you just set it at a slightly higher than normal setting such as 1.2 and then let everyone moan. Eventually the moaning will stop and the game will continue with no problems. -
Agreed, I doubt there would be much military grade hardware left at the barracks anyway because im guessing the military would have run off with it. The best way to slow down farmers is by making equipment take up more slots etc, so two slots for a weapon magazine would really put a slug in the pipe and would increase difficulty. another way would be to make it so recently spawned survivors can only find basic provisions for say 10 to 20 mins, that equals food and water. A third way is by removing the loot as an overall so only a few mags will appear every blue moon.

All you'd have to do is create a spawn point with a waypoint in the editor, and then create a patrol which links in to the spawn point. Good idea and simple to implement, nice :)

The only problem with what you are posting as far as that vid is concerned is that guy had one of the best computers known. the case in point being not everyone has the room for such a tower. Also no ones saying its not possible, just that it will take a long time to make it work etc. unless your all content with buildings becoming enter-able bit by bit im sure its not going to be done any time soon.

hang on have you ever seen the motorbikes in arma 2? these are two different pics. Motorbike Truck Those wheels are not the same mate, and although im guessing at what your saying "I don't care if it looks like a car wheel I just want motorbikes" there are more than wheels on a motorbike is my response :D

I think he means military heli's not civilian ones, which if you tweak a bit could lead to "make civilian heli's more common and military heli's less common". But I too disagree with removing them entirely. Again I think Motorbikes will just take time as whoever wants to implement them needs to work on new models for the wheels, chassis etc so that when you scavenge the parts they don't look odd.

what about dead body parts from survivors long gone? You could butcher a survivor and use body parts to escape from zombies, only negatives would be it take up 3 spaces and you may need to take painkillers when you butcher the survivor. Already have the butcher animal ingame, just need to make some 3D models of legs and arms etc.
