Why are the AS50 and M107 in the game?
elasticz replied to scott24z's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Dude, get some skill. Do you know how easy it is to put 4 bullets in someone's body with a makarov? Unless you like 500 yards away from him, it's not that damn hard. Also I was talking about killing zombies and you replied with what I understand to be a PvP situation. -
Why are so many 'Bronies' into DayZ?

Stop acting like we're some sort of fucked up clan. Also, I would be very greatfull if a mod were to lock this thread. I hate it when these kind of threads invade forums where they just don't belong. And to the OP: Fuck you man, why did you have to start this shit? You knew damn wel what was going to happen, same fucking story each time. It's always some prick who's like "HEY GUISE GUES WAT? MY LITTEL PONIE" -

Seriously, they should start banning people that cry on the forum over dying because of a sniper. I could give you enough reasons why sniper rifles are usefull besides PvP But let me put it to you this way. If your only aim is to kill zombies in this game, why can't you just stick with a makarov. Shoots fast, pretty acurate (not that it matters, zeds run up to you anyway), loads of ammo, etc, etc.. I mean really, it was one of the first things that I noticed when I started playing this mod. All guns are nearly the same when it comes down to killing zeds, the only difference is the firerate really. -
Why are so many 'Bronies' into DayZ?
elasticz replied to Jony_RocketInMyPocket's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Of course people are going to defend themselves if other people call them pussies for watching MLP. But it all depends on the situation. When I told my friend I watched MLP, he reacted like any normal person would and asked me if I fell on my head. After convincing him that it's not the same show of 10 years ago and he should really watch an episode, it turned out he liked it too. But here's the thing, it's different when you tell your friends. And the flamboyant bronies think everyone is their friend, thus always trying to convince people that it's more "manly" then they think. -

Meh, I was going to write a whole thing about how it's not like you think it is. But then I was like "meh, he has a point." People should be able to question whether or not you are sane for watching a show based off of toys for little girls. But it's the "not knowing what the show is about" what drives some bronies to convince people to watch it so they would understand. Let's be full on honest about everything. I have my flaws, I'm generally a bad person. I'm kinda a racist when it comes down to Muslims in particular. (If you lived in Belgium you would understand) I stereotype and judge people. I frown upon anyone who uses any kind of smiley etc, etc.. But MLP hasn't changed me, because I like who I am. And even though the show does contain messages that would otherwise influence people to do the right thing. These messages mean nothing to me. I am a big fan of the show and I like it because of so many different things. I make sure I watch every new episode as soon as it's released. This does not mean that MLP is trying to start a new world where everyone is so fucking happy all the time and war doesn't exist. Guess what, war has to exist if we want to keep our lives the same. Sorry got carried away there. Point is still that the show itself is much more then the horrible ideas people had created because of the show in the 80-90s. -

Why are so many 'Bronies' into DayZ?
elasticz replied to Jony_RocketInMyPocket's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Shit got out of control fast. I'm going to make a vein attempt to keep both sides happy. Being a brony is much like being a homosexual. You have the kind that stays in the closet, you have the kind that acts like a normal individual and you've got the kind that's so flamboyant you puke rainbows just by looking at him. When the MLP:FiM started, a group of people actually like it. They got ridiculed, but didn't give up and tried their best to convince people to watch the show. As the community grew more and more people acted as if they were some sort of tribe and they were the Samaritans. They only wanted to expand the community. When the community got so big that it became infamous, people who thought they could be edgy by watching a show for little girls made it so everyone around them knew they were a brony. People joined the community in order to call themselves bronies, but all they really did was pick up some pony-memes and use them to the extent that they became dull and overused. This is where one might question the definition of "brony". Is someone who enjoys the show a brony? Or is it someone who partakes in the community, etc. There are a lot of people who are part of the community and frown upon these bronies that give a bad name to the community. The community did plenty of amazing things when it came down to influencing the show. (i.e. derpy hooves). Tl;dr flamboyant bronies are the worst type of bronies. MLP is a great show. Also, whoever came up with "love and tolerate" is a fucking faggot. -
Farewell to arma2/dayz and some suggestions

Rocket, Please don't. (Dayz on Console).
elasticz replied to alcatraz968's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
It's not about the money, it's about the game. And before you start you're shit with how the money will be used to improve the game, think about all the time, dedication and MONEY that goes into the release of the mod for consoles. It will take months maybe years before it pays off. And the game's still in alpha for crying out loud! And how will that even work, releasing it on consoles and keeping everything updated. Rocket said they will keep updating the mod AND the standalone. How will he plan on doing that if he also has to keep consoles in mind? Too much work, too much effort -> bad game -
Haha, nice

Free to play games often include a store where players can buy items. However most games that come from good developers refrain from selling items that will grant you an advantage over others. Since ArmA2 isn't F2P including a store would already be a terrible idea. But in this particular mod I think a store would ruin everything for everyone and eventually lead to the collapse of this mighty community. Also I would pay around 5 dollars for a .50cal if I had to, but it just seems so stupid knowing that it's easily lost.

Hero Skin vs Crap Bandit Skin

It's not like he was lying. -
Dude, nobody keeps in mind that it's an alpha mod. And even if they do they think alpha means it's 100% flawless except for a few graphical details. To be honest, I thought they added the fact that you spawn on the coast when you enter a new server because people were serverhopping for gear.

Ah I found it, I had my server filter set on "don't show outdated servers". I recommend you update your server though -

Doesn't show up on DayZ Commander -
Snipe people in Elektro. Or if you're not into that: try visiting all of the key locations ie: rog/zub/devils- castle Try finding a radio and go to green mountain (I heard you pick up a frequency on your radio and some scary noises play) Make a "base", hoard some tents find a good location and store gear you find. Encourage your friends to play, much more fun that way.

Why are so many 'Bronies' into DayZ?
elasticz replied to Jony_RocketInMyPocket's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Maybe because it's a great game and the decision to play this game doesn't depend on the fact that you like MLP:FiM. Same thing I tell everyone who asks why bronies play TF2 -
Surprise when I un-scope from my AS50
elasticz replied to NaturaI's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Damnit man, a sniper isn't only used by bandits. Somehow people instanly judge players with .50cals. You don't know their motives, you don't know what they're gonna do. -
The carebears BECAME the hackers
elasticz replied to TheMachine's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Of course he doesn't mean that every hacker out there is a carebear but a part of them is. It's like being shot over and over again wanting to help someone. The next time you see someone you're gonna be alot faster on the trigger. Different regions different situation, but take it from me, anyone on german/french/spanish (typical EU server) will shoot you on sight. Maybe not because they like to annoy you, but because they are afraid of you. -
Now first off I would like to say that you would have been alot more serious if you didn't sound like a butthurt 1 year od " I don't like it that's why this is a fail !" But you bring a good point, there is no end game and what should be do after we have our stuff. Ofcourse a .50cal was not put in the game to hunt zombies, duh. It was meant to kill other player, and you know what? I'm 100% sure that if there were to be a real zombie apocalypse we should be afraid of people more then we should be of zombies. Why? Because everyone's gonna fight over everything. If you don't kill the next person you see, he might just end up finding what you want. If you trust someone you don't know to team with you, how will you be sure that he doesn't backstab you over the next best gun you find? These things occur naturally. Human nature. When you end up with enough shit to survive for months, you get 2 choices: -Either kill everyone and make it hard for them -Or join a clan, be a whitelist medic, help other people (clan), explore the damn map, etc etc.. There is an abundance of thing you can do after you got your gear, it's simple human nature to want to kill stuff. Oh and it's also a vicious cycle: You got shot for no reason -> you're probably gonna end up shooting every single person you see. And let's be honest, the game is not hard at all if it weren't for PvPers. I can run through Elektro and into Cherno then just enter a house and go out the back door and TADA, no more zombies. What you're looking for a fort defence game where the only real essence is team based survival with no PvP (and if you're in a clan it's basically team based survival of other people) DayZ is not your game, move along and don't complain
