I like how OP thinks everyone reads the forums and will listen to him. Servers I play on nobody even uses the mic, guess why. Oh right, not everyone speaks english. This is the main reason why people shoot on sight in European servers. For fucks sake, if you're going to include "survival" then look at it this way. What if my food is low and I need food? What if I can't find decent gear to protect myself. And then somebody strolls past me with a huge ass backpack? Am I going to take the chance of asking him for food? What if he says no and thinks I will kill him for his food and kills me instead? Welcome to real life bitch, not everyone is a saint.

I can agree that alot of people will get attached to their dog and moan when they lose it. If I see a dog that blows someone's cover, I will shoot the dog and laugh knowing that the player probably cared more about the dog then about his gear.

Dude, so what you want is for this game to become a Dead Island ripoff? It's a war simulator for crying out loud, not a hack and slash. If anything it's very logical that you find axes everywhere because Chernarus is filled with trees. But why go through all that effort when it only takes 15 minutes to go to Elektro and find a Makarov? Also, priorities dammit! Focus on content that should be fixed before flailing out ideas that are basically useless.

I can fully agree with this, but if they were to "keep space and weight" in mind then it woud lead to alot of changes and not only to the snipers. I mean really, you can carry around 20 tank traps around in an ALICE pack, do you have any idea how much that would weight? Not to mention that we all have unlimited stamina and can run around Chernarus as long as we eat and drink enough. If the game was ultra realistic then nobody would play it.

But why would you even prefer melee over ranged? DayZ is not a hack and slash game where you can just swing stuff like machetes and crowbars around whithout serious injuries. Unless you plan on going stealth and taking zombies one by one, you will most likely end up with your legs broken or uncautious and bleeding out.

Okay first of all. Alt+F4 is a shortcut made by microsoft to force quit the current process. It has nothing to do with the ArmA engine, so stop saying it's part of the game. An why did he make .50cals so powerfull? To punish the person who is stupid enough to not scan the area first, and who perfers to run around because sticking to walls and following a certain route where you are safe is too slow and boring. Just watch a few videos showing you exactly how snipers get their kills in Cherno and Elektro, and learn from that. In this case windows is basically a third party program and saying Alt + f4 is good and should be used, is basically like justifying cheat engine.

Personally I think that would be a very terrible idea. Maybe something for WarZ, but not for DayZ. It just doesn't fit the game, working with stats etc.

The L85 with thermal needs to be in game for the exact reason you were killed. I agree that it's a bit overpowered. But if they completely remove thermal from the game, then there wouldn't really be anything to counter snipers. But then again, if you play in low populated servers and don't stay in one place to long, you wont encounter a L85 thermal let alone get killed by one.

This And maybe people are taking a break because of hackers, but honestly as soon as battleEye updates again most of the hackers (who downloaded free hacks) will not be able to hack any more and get banned. Or people stopped playing and started waiting for the game to be released as a standalone

There are alot of reasons why you should use DayZ Commander over six launcher. But this is definitely not the way to promote it.

It's best you leave it to be, if you pick it up and die, someone els will take the gun. That's how rare weapons lost their value in DayZ. If you want to do what's right you camp there and kill anyone who picks a gun from that box.

This will NOT help anyone out. I fully agree with you that rare weapons aren't rare anymore. However, most of these weapons come in the game because of hackers. The somebody kills the hacker, picks up the gun and dupes it. If you want to expierence the same mod like a month ago, you should find a server that just started and doesn't have too many players.
