my LU vilayer server has been running fine all day, and i was browsing their website just fine several times today. maybe something locally? think their AU servers were their latest addition. perhaps they still got some Newborn hiccups? -

when i have asked around how to solve this i have been told that if the vehicles remain untouched for 7 days they revert back to their original spawn point. is this true? should i just wait it out and try and purge the logs the best i can until then? -

i think this is caused by a heli that has crashed into the sea and is taking damage but is not getting destroyed. can i somehow get help from dayz devs to remove this heli from the hive? or am i screwed? -

after 15 minutes of running the log file is already at 75mb this is freaking me out. -
well yea ,if you have friends its dead easy to become a hero. but since he was asking i assumed he had no friends.

fill a truck whit blood bags, bandage and morphine, then kidnap someone, get him near the truck and shoot him in the legs repeatedly and heal him back up. keep doing that until the truck is empty. voila! you are now a hero

now that was meaty barry :) i should have mentioned that im already a vilayer customer (and a very happy customer by the way) but that was allot of good info that im sure could benefit many others to. moving to the private hive, would that affect the offer we got about when the standalone is released? -

i hammered 1.7.2.5 for 2 weeks (while getting constant flak from user accusing me for admin abuse for resetting tents and vehicles) and reported the bugs. job done i think. -

there is no one forcing you to use 1.7.2.5 you can rollback anytime you want. i rerolled to 1.7.2.4 and there is no problem there. -
i guess it is because you are playing version 1.7.2.5. it is a bug in this patch. most vehicles reset to their original position upon restart. if you like to keep them try playing on some 1.7.2.4 servers.

if you have a secondary monitor keep streaming the web console in it. i find it very useful and use it as of my first line of defense. when you streamed it for a couple of days i think you should have learned to recognize the normal patterns. when a hacker comes into the server that normal pattern usually breaks and it is very obvious. you can then start look around in the other logs to try and find more evidence for a ban. -

If you are in Europe check us out. LU385 (ip- 94.242.227.202:2362) we run version 1.7.2.4 so tents and car saving does work. we are currently low pop but would like to grow. and there is a little bit of clan wars going on whit 5 regular groups that keep us server owners at bay. vehicles change hands or get destroyed every day. we encourage this and would like to see more groups moving in on our server. but i also think the climate suits the solo scavenger. -

we currently restart every 12 hours at 1.30 pm and 1.30 am GMT. i try to do my maintenance when the server is empty. it also happens sometimes during our automatic restarts that we failed to connect to the hive (maybe 1 out of 10) if that happens we restart again to reconnect. we do not have any notice (unless a admin is online and can tell in chat which we try to if we can) since our host vilayer does not support it. but we list the server restart time in the MOTD when you log in. -
how how many restarts have you been able to save them for? i am sorry but i dont think you have done proper testing. we who have has found the issues consitant, and not random in any way. you found it whit the helikopter, but it is the same whit all other vehicles. example the bicycle will always turn into a motorcycle at restarts. motorcycle will always disapear after one restart. some vehicles can survive multiple restarts whitout changing, but will always disapear after a set number. (atv's maybe not. after one week of testing whit 4 restarts/day they were still there) i hammered 1.7.2.5 for almost 2 weeks whit tests, conclusion its broken. im now back at 1.7.2.4 and life is fine and dandy again, no hero skins, but thats alright. imho i think its more important that players can enjoy their end game.

well what can i say. we did the re-roll a couple of days ago and done multiple restarts to verify that it worked, and so far every thing seems to work alright whit very little errors. -

our server works great since we rerolled to 1.7.2.4. you can save as many times as you want in tents and even blank save enemy tents. and all the vehicles stay were you put them and they save their inventory -

1.7.2.5 was released as a unofficial patch, if it didn't worked you were supposed to revert back to 1.7.2.4 1.7.2.5 was mostly an attempt to fix the graphic glitches. something that failed. the other notes imho did little to improve game play so there is little reason to keep 1.7.2.5 1.7.2.5 Changelog: * [FIXED] Ammunition amounts not loaded in properly (Now records used ammunition correctly) * [FIXED] Graphical glitches with barbed wire (Rebinarized file should no longer produce graphical artifacts) (FAILED) * [NEW] Additional optimizations to login process (further use of publicVariableClient to reduce network transmission) * [FIXED] Respawn button not enabled when legs fractured (Now enables for fractured legs https://dev-heaven.net/issues/39161 ) * [FIXED] Excessive logging of player data in server logs (Disabled https://dev-heaven.net/issues/38784 ) * [FIXED] Graphical glitches with dead bodies (Rebinarized file should no longer produce graphical artifacts) (FAILED) + some candy stuff like the new hero skin however the devs ARE working on it, and currently they are in the process off updating the hive and moving it to a new server that are supposedly going to fix the saving issues. but until that is done i strongly suggest going back to 1.7.2.4
